Only one.On nw 36st just east of where okeechobee meets nw n.river drive.Actually the front door faces nw 36st and the rear of the bldg. is on nw n river dr.
That sounds like the old Bahama steak house across the street from the New England Oyster House. I Lived in S.E. Hialeah in the early 60's Went to Glenn H Curtis Elem school and Miami Springs Junior for a Year. Moved from the area because to many cargo planes were crash landing back in the 60's around there.

I don't know Don personally, but foud out he lived just a few blocks from my home in the 70's and lived behind a good friend during High School. He mentions a neighbors that I also went to school with. I remember seeing Him drive his Vete in the neighborhood and all the while didn't know him from any other person until I found his web blog and pictures of old Miami. Small World!

Yep I live up by Gasman in Broward out by the aligator mall. Talk about blue hairs......Damn.... I might be a red neck or getting to look like a Blue Hair......I don't turn my Hearing aid up, I just turn the music louder!

Oregon.
You and.........Who?

:D
We're a small but mighty bunch o' timber fallers...uh, fellers...er, whatever. Every Friday, two of us put our flannel plaid shirts on under our overalls and jack lumber (that just doesn't sound right, does it AverageJoe?!...) while deciding which HD-DVD discs to spend money on and which of you Florida guys are really from NYC. ;)

Kidding aside, there are a lot of you and a big ol' (maybe annual) GTG of the Florida group sounds like a lotta fun. I'm jealous.

PS: What's a strip club?

Huh! Well how about that?! A bunch of candy bars. Nudie Bar or Topless Bar...chocolate? With nuts? Never heard of 'em. And with hoochie? Candy and booze. Strange combo.

Do you belong to any logging forums? LOL :D I'll break down the Florida thing for you Tomorrow - coastal Floridians are by default, young northerners who either relocated early in life with their parents, or moved to join other relatives who migrated south to retire, which brings me to point b.) Inner lying mainland areas just inland of the coast we have huge, sprawling retirement communities, consisting mainly of manufactured and/or mobile homes and community rec centers where blue-haired little old ladies line up to play Bingo on Saturday night and the men play shuffleboard by day. Beyond that are the 'burbs, where I live - populated by pi**ed off middle class working stiffs who can't get a break from outrageous tax rates and insurance premiums. Beyond that and only in Florida's most inland areas (Orlando and Gainesville excluded) are the true Floridians, and you're lucky to find a full set of teeth within a 20 mile radius in these parts. :D

I grew up in Pembroke Pines/Hollywood. I live in Texas now due to my job but FL is still home, especially considering most of my family and practically everyone I know still lives there. I go home two or three times a year and I generally take December off so it's a looong christmas vacation.

LOL, it sounds....lovely. Thanks for the education! So you can just sort of move every couple of decades, just a few miles, to the appropriate place depending on your changing age/tooth-count/tax bracket...? ;)

AverageJoe, my Oregon a/v mate (actually, the only other person living in Oregon, besides our spouses of course) just sent me a picture I AM SO TEMPTED TO PUT UP HERE.:eek: Strat...talk me into it. :D

Eh, more or less - if you do, you're apt to fit in somewhere. ;) My Dad filled me in on the sprawling motor home retirement community phenomenon when I was a kid - he referred to the blue-haired masses as "Trailer Bats". Apparently it's commonly used.

Vacationers - I didn't really get into that - we call them "Snowbirds". :)
