What made you decide to switch?
Your HT budget must really be in bad shape now.
Well, nothing a little overtime can't fix, right?
What did it? Was it TLS guy telling you that your speakers were doomed as doomed can be?
I have a 10 year extended replacement warranty on my DefTechs, so I was not too worried. I guess I have always been looking for excuses to buy new gears. I've had those amps for over 11 years now. That's a long time.
You sneaky little bastard. It wasnt that long ago that you were saying you didnt trust EMOs.
Well, after your initial post, I wasn't about to trust Emotiva. But seeing how they did resolve your situation and how everyone else loved Emotiva, and especially reading all the great reviews, I started liking Emotiva.
The part that really interested was the fact that the reviewers were saying EMOs were world-class build quality: glass epoxy PCB boards, 1% metal-film resistors, 2 oz copper, etc. This was the same kind of quality that made Acurus famous back in the 90s. Then after comparing the aesthetics of Emos vs. Acurus, I was really sold. Elegant, top-notch build quality, great customer service, and great price. My kind of company.
