I've only peripherally been following what's going on over by you but am interested in learning:

a) what folk think of the candidates and;

b) who they think will win (not necessarily the same as who they want to win)

Hillary is running as a "Democrat", but she's no different than the corrupt bunch currently in power. She has a track record of securing pork barrel money, and lots of it.

She was also the senator that wasted millions of dollars investigating the "hot coffee" mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It is clear to me that she is intent on using the government to fatten her own pockets while stripping away more rights. Oh, and lest we forget, she's only in politics because her hubby was the president. I could go on and on, but it might get hostile.

So Hillary has and does engage in what 'ordinary folks' would recognise as corrupt practice. Obama gets credit for being a politician but not 'earmarking' except, from what I can gather, for state rather than corporate projects.

Obama can't possibly be perfect though. What're his faults?

His fault is that he's another politician: the usual sellout that runs Washington. The people running the show aren't really representing the people anymore, they represent the interests of corporations and people with money.

Inexperience as far as I can tell. Now that doesn't mean he's not capable just that we don't have enough of a track record.

The people running the show aren't really representing the people anymore, they represent the interests of corporations and people with money.

Yeah well, I'm lazy today. Ron Paul is the only candidate that is significantly different than the rest. His voting record in congress actually jives with what he says, he has not been getting campaign contributions from large companies, and his campaign has focused on real issues that affect the country at large, not mickey-mouse issues like gay marriage. Of course, he has run before on the Libertarian ticket, so this is not surprising.
