If it needs to be something to talk about, it should be decided on a state-by-state basis. I personally support gay marriage, but I don't think it has any business being the subject of a Constitutional amendment (well, proposed) or a national debate. What about the country's out of control debt? What about the massive corruption in Washington? What about our eroding rights? What about our continued quest for world hegemony? What about the issues that matter?

Since it was asked - she has a proven track record of changing her viewpoint and agenda to match whatever the current political climate is (which I think is probably the most disturbing aspect of her - as it makes it clear to anyone with a shred of common sense, that she's willing to do or say whatever it takes to get ahead in the polls). She has done nothing worthwhile as Senator. She engages in political bashing, as they all do, and her socialist agenda is becoming far too apparent. I could go on and on, but I realize the original post was meant to be funny, so I'll end it there - just thought I'd throw my two cents in there, since the question was asked. Hilarious item though - I think I'm going to get one and put it on my desk at work.

Politicians don't want to answer hard questions about real issues, so they focus on trivial, irrelevant things like gay marriage as a way of distracting the public.
