Audiolabs 9000A as a power amplifier

Hi Anyone able to use the Balanced XLR inputs on the Audiolabs 9000A when its used as a power amplifier.
I find that the XLR input only seems to work in the integrated mode, hence checking,
The documentation is not very clear about this.
Normally a balanced XLR input is used when using the amp as a power amplifier. So if anyone has figured it out please let me know.

If you wish to use the 9000A solely as a power amplifier (e.g., bypassing the preamp), you'll need to use the RCA inputs instead of the XLRs. The documentation doesn’t clarify this limitation, but it aligns with how the 9000A's circuitry is configured. If you require Power Amplifier Mode, use the RCA inputs, as the XLR functionality is bypassed in this mode.

If the distance is not overly long, like a few rooms away, then an RCA connection is just as good quality as an XLR. Advice to the contrary is Audiophoolery yet again.
