Possibly. The parents of a shooter in Michigan were recently convicted, but this is highly uncommon.

>>>Now, the verdicts in the Crumbley parents’ cases – based on allegations of negligence and foreseeability – likely will be used by prosecutors in other cases, Jackson said. . . . Still, the cases against the Crumbleys reflected parental negligence far outside the norm, prosecuting attorney Karen McDonald told jurors in the latter trial. . . .
Indeed, the elder Crumbleys’ cases were so uncommon that their impact will likely be limited, Frank Vandervort, clinical professor of law at the University of Michigan Law School, said prior to the trials in January. “I don’t anticipate there’s going to be a lot of this kind of thing filed; I think this is a pretty unique case,” he said.<<<
Crooks reportedly did a search for Crumbley before the shooting:

>>>Failed assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks researched school shooter Ethan Crumbley and other mass shooters . . . before opening fire, it emerged Friday.

The troubling search history leads investigators to believe that loner Crooks, 20, was mostly focused on a mass-casualty event — and that Trump’s rally close to his home in Pennsylvania was more about convenience than an ideological target, a US official briefed on the issue told CNN.<<<

When someone fails this badly, it can't wait. This was preventable, but those who make policy caused it and the Director implemented it. Saying that the agents didn't go up because the roof is sloped? That's a complete load of crap and here's a guy running on a roof that's actually considered 'steep. The roof where the sniper was laying isn't much more than 2:12- That's less slope than the entrance to many parking lots.

There was no way the SS should have let anyone onto the platform when they knew someone was there to cause problems. Do you honestly think they would have allowed Bill Clinton, Obama, Algore or Hillary to go on with that guy running around.

And people are saying that it's a shame that the shooter missed- pay attention to what was said around 1:18 into the video about the crossbow being used for personal defense.

Yes.... very many things that doesn't match up, indeed.

NOW: Even Zelensky state his message of support to Trump on surviving that attack.

Seriously, I have no life.
You're talking about one area. And, perhaps you're right about that area. It may have been better years ago. But, for most people yearning for some idyllic past, it's based on a false memory, an illusion.

It's one of the features of nationalism - this longing for a time in the past when the nation and her people were "great".
My comments about the area where I live come from having a freakishly good memory and having become an adult around the time it started to hit the fan with the four personal exceptions of my bikes being stolen starting in 1967, only a couple of months after the riot. Not "It may have been better", it was better- the housing project I mentioned in other posts that has been a problem is still there and it's still a problem, but with more shootings/frequent gunfire and an insane amount of shoplifting at the nearby grocery store. People used to live peaceful lives and we didn't lock our doors when I was a kid. The entire police department consisted of seven employees. This is only in the small area near my house but the whole city is having problems and all someone would need to do is search online for Milwaukee crime info but I wouldn't use the online version of the local paper because they only report a small number of crimes.

Nationalism, if wanting people to be the way they were when life was peaceful is hardly a problem. People WERE better in their behavior- why is that a problem for you? Two years ago, more than 6400 cars were stolen in the city of Milwaukee- does that sound like an improvement?

The US used to have people who gave a crap about the country and we had some common goals- now, we have millions sneaking in and caring about themselves but not the country. People bitch about the US but if it's so bad, why do so many want to come here? Look at what's happening in London, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and other places in England- big problems with illegals, but I don't see a damned thing about it, just "The US has so much, they SHOULD let everyone in".

GB may not allow guns, but knives are a problem-

If people haven't become worse in your area, congratulations!

Here is what Boris thinks
c6015485-d120-41bd-a415-f89318a48623.jpeg

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson believes that "Trump has the strength and courage to save Ukraine and bring peace." The British politician wrote a column for the Daily Mail newspaper in which he shared his thoughts on the possible future of the US president, the war in Ukraine, and the potential expansion of conflicts around the world. According to him, Trump has already effectively become president, because the assassination attempt "showed Americans courage and leadership." Johnson says that Trump can help Ukraine by "ending bureaucratic red tape, strengthening the Ukrainian army, and removing all restrictions on strikes against Russia." In short, the former prime minister is confident that the new US president will not abandon Ukraine, as this would be a terrible defeat for the United States, as well as a reason to intensify various conflicts around the world. The new White House policy may allow to push the Russians back to their positions as of February 24, 2022, and then sign a peace treaty and join NATO. Johnson also believes that in the future, Ukraine can replace the role of the United States in Europe, namely, to become a shield for the continent.
"More than a million Ukrainians are now armed. They know how to work with NATO equipment and are the most effective anti-Russian force in the world. When the war is over, there will be no reason why Ukrainians should not replace at least some of the 70,000 American troops still in Europe," he writes.
In his opinion, this is beneficial to Trump, because "it will save money, bring American forces home, and force Europeans to do more to protect themselves, which is one of his key goals."

Comically in the pic Trump looks discolored and/or sick. Boris looks at him as if he's normal. Not sure I should take his advice on Trump. :p

Look at the education system, lack of parenting, catch & release judicial system- this has been coming for decades and I think it could have been avoided but with people demanding more freedoms, we see more problems.

Some are really pushing the boundaries. We have laws governing EVERY type of crime., but people are violating them without a thought. I see very few cops patrolling in Milwaukee and I'm not alone. The Police department has lost a lot of the officers through quitting and retiring but they're not being replaced, partially because the city isn't providing enough funds to operate the department at a high level- it's one of the highest costs in the city's budget and the Mayor, Council and County leaders aren't even bothering to try to make things better. They come up with committees, slogans and programs but most of the problems don't change. They put concrete on some roads to decrease reckless driving- these are called 'traffic calming' curbs, but all someone needs to do is take the street one or two blocks away if the police are chasing them. On the way home from the grocery store after 8PM last evening, I saw at least 6 people driving well over the limit, blowing stop signs/lights and one seemed to be drunk/drugged, based on their swerving and inability to stay in the lane. Maybe they just like driving like an idiot- I don't know. Earlier in the week, I saw a car blow through four stop signs and a traffic light- these were consecutive and occurred on a one mile stretch. Before even leaving the subdivision, I saw someone make a U-turn at a red light without stopping.

This is a common occurrence-
