The problem for Trump is that his supporters would remove themselves from both the gene pool and the donor pool if they were to start a civil war.
It's quite likely they've already pissed into the gene pool.

I believe that the vast majority of Trump supporters will not take to violence, including the ones harping about "Civil War", but there is always a few that are capable of doing so.

Here is one Trump supporter shot dead Wednesday.

https://www.politico.com/news/2023/08/09/utah-man-threatens-biden-fbi-killed-00110554

Saw that tonight.....this is why I balk at the whole civil war thing being repeated here.
It's all mouth...more than likely if Trumpy gets convicted/jailed not much is going to happen.
Now granted, there will be some that act like this Utah guy...

I have a hard time believing Trump will not do time. He will have four indictments within two weeks, as the Georgia case is going to a grand jury this week and further charges are highly likely.

The obstruction of justice charges will be the easiest to prove in court, and I would have thought a prison sentence highly likely. In the Georgia case he was caught red handed on the phone. I think the election charges pending in Federal Court will more likely result in conviction rather than not. It is most unlikely one of the these cases will not result in conviction and put him away for the rest of his life. He really does deserve it. He has run up an atrocious ticket. He would turn the country into a dictatorship, align the country with the Dictator Putin and that will be the end of the US as we know it. It will be really bad for the US if he does not do time.
This country will even be worse if Brandon is given four more years. Sleepy

He might get convicted but I don't believe he will be incarcerated.

If Sleepy Joe is given 4 more years he will hasten the collapse of America. Sleepy is the precipice of starting WW3 by fighting a proxy war against Russia and supporting a neo-Nazis like Zelensky.

Is that guy for real ?
Maybe all the MAGA crowd should go to Ukraine and give Zelensky a hand against Russian Aggression if they want to fight someone so bad.

Ain't that the truth !

Ya know...i grew up in Appalachia. A key part of Trumpys fanbase. The regular, hard working down to Earth folk you find everywhere.

From what I recall, if some blowhard came into town with a Clairol dyed comb over with a gallon of AquaNet...their face slathered in orange makeup...wearing 1000 dollar suits and claiming how they were "for the working man"
they would still be finding pieces of him here and there.

Don't know how he courted a whole subsection of the public to follow him blindly, but he did it. Or maybe Faux News did the plowing for him.

Now you are coming across as a Putin Troll. That is one of Putin's great lies. You had better wake up. Trump is very likely a traitor and dancing to Putin's tune.
Trump actually very much reminds me of Oswald Mosley, the apologist for Hitler and British fascist leader in the run up to the second word war.

There is every sign that we have not learned the lessons of the 1930. It has not been appreciated how different and more dangerous Putin is than the Russian leaders that came before in the years following Stalin.

If you think Zelensky is a neo Nazi, then your are in traitorous territory and definitely in need of vigorous correction.

As an obvious Trump follower you are approaching traitorous territory. It is in no way acceptable to support Trump. Actually I think there is enough evidence for it to be considered treason if you do. Clearly Trump needs locking up and pronto.

Is there anything against the law by the way he is fundraising for legal fees?
Not that I've seen so far. My initial impression is that some of the transactions are in the grey or questionable zone, but he could probably avoid liability by saying "my bad" and moving the money back. Take this with a large grain of salt because my comments are based on a very brief brief review of a few reports in the media.

The Federal Elections Commission no longer enforces any fund raising regulation it may have. This has opened the door to unscrupulous politicians and career criminals.

Trump got into politics precisely because he could raise unlimited cash donations without identifying donors, without any federal or state regulations, and without paying any taxes. Now that he's in the sights of so many prosecutors, it's become his "business plan". Why deal with the fuss & bother of constructing & running condo buildings, gambling casinos, resorts, golf clubs, or running for election, when you can simply ask people for money? Pat Buchanan and other political slime merchants did that in the past, but they were small timers compared to Trump.

What a trumpster fire this thread has become. :p
This keeps us limber while we wait … and wait … for the next indictment to drop. This time from Fulton County, Georgia.

I think it's highly entertaining to see right-wing politicians, such as Mike Pence, choose his words so very carefully. He seems to believe he can be a witness against Trump, while at the same time, court Trump's most rabid supporters.

And, then there's Mark Meadows. He is completely and uncharacteristically silent.

The trial judge, Tanya S. Chutkan, for the Trump case in DC now have extra security to protect her from Trump supporters. This is what rhetoric of the type @Auditor55 espouses causes. I wonder when the first attempt on her life will happen.
