Desperate for 3d content? :) I do have the Monsters Aliens one myself :) The other two, no thanks. I did just get the 3d Dune pt.1....I do like that :)
Love my 3D! I had these before and couldn't beat the price of $3 each. Monster Alien is amazing in 3D! Ill wait and see for a sale on the Dune 3D! I still have alot 3D blurays I haven't seen yet. Gotta be in the mood.

Yeah I have two setups that can do 3d. I still like it once in a while, don't have a very large collection. When I was thinking of the Dune disc, I didn't even realize it was available in 3d, almost just got the 4k (but no 4k display so.....). The Aliens Monsters thing is pretty funny, tho. The Gnome series or the Yogi movie, nah.

I may have to see if the 3D glasses that came with my Panasonic still work. Might be interesting to see if 3D is actually good now.

I can only watch 3D one way now, since my one 3D TV died 2 years ago. I can still watch on PSVR, but then only I can watch. I have 4 pairs of glasses still, no TV

Seem to remember more the days of when the 45 adapters were like give-aways at the record counter....or at least super cheap. The machined aluminum ones are nicer, tho :)

Fire TV 4k just showed up. It was on sale AND they have a trade in offer for your old devices. My old one worked fine, but the remote went wonky and there's no replacement since it is an old model. This new stick supports wifi6, which I wanted because I upgraded the router too :) It was 30% off including the trade in.

Here I am making a long story about my recent purchases. I bought a 3 CD compilation of the one woman I had a major crush on when I was a strappin' 7 year old boy.

I still think to this day that she had one of the finest voices to come out of that era bar none.

The next purchase I admit I was really curious to try as the look appealed to me. A Logitech Harmony 890.

I thought I had made a purchase mistake because it didn't come with the USB cord which is different than those used by the 650 and 665 remotes. I luckily found one kicking around the home. I needed to download a version of the Harmony software that differs again from the one used to program the 650 and 665 remotes. I played with it but it looks like the device library isn't as up to date as it is for the 650 and 665. It couldn't find the RX-A3060 so I had to cludge it. I had to get used to this interface as it had some quirks but I started to see the similarities between the new and old s/w interfaces. The 650/665 do have a far nicer feel and balance to it than the 890.

The 650 remote that spends time at the trailer is has lost the functionality of the buttons that flank the display screen and I noticed the 650 remote in the basement setup is also starting to go. I have about 6 650/665 remotes as back up but I didnt want to dig into that pile. So I spent the morning and part of the afternoon today to copy the functionality of the 650 which controls my bedroom setup into the 890. That 650 is working flawlessly BTW. The 890 will surplant it and I will use the freed up 650 to replace the 650 in the basement. The older basement 650 will be used to replace the 650 for the trailer. I will try to see open the broken 650 and see if I can fix the broken 650. I'd be happy to receive any hints in how to repair them.

First thing to check is dust and dirt between the buttons and pads. Little spec of dirt can prevent contact. Clean with alcohol or another cleaning solution that leaves no residue. The rubber side will have a carbon pad that just needs cleaning. The circuit side has two contacts that the pad bridges. Check to see whether the contacts are corroded. Also check whether the rubber still holds its shape and breaks contact after a button press.

Also love Judy Garland. ;)

Building my collection of tools for future speaker builds and I needed to upgrade my old router to complete the drawer assembly for my wall unit in the recroom.

Milwaukee 5616 router kit with fixed base, plunge base, and case. 2¼ HP variable speed with soft start. Comes with ¼" and ½" collets, wrenches, dust chute and centering guide. The fixed base has rubber handles on both sides but also a nice palm grip. I prefer the metal threaded depth stop to the plastic depth ring that is popular on some brands like Dewalt. Several recommendations on YouTube for this one.

My old router is a ¼" Black & Decker that is over 20 years old. Still working but I need a ½" collet and more HP to cut dovetails and do surface routing. My table saw is unique in that it has one wing with a router table built in (very handy for a small shop) so I can permanently bolt the B&D to the table and use the Milwaukee for heavier work and hand routing.
