Seriously, I have no life.
The general silence from Republican [voters] is showing me they don't care. Ousting Cheney for taking up the committee is showing me they want it buried. Claiming law & order while actually saying "who cares about that" is showing me you don't care. Unless Danzilla is now part of "the far right?" The true definition of coup is irrelevant to me. I said "manipulated" and followed with "but I doubt you can prove that in court." Do I believe he didn't? No, not really. I wouldn't put anything past the man. But as I said, can't prove it. Therefore acquittal.

As for the rest? Great, but if it's Trump I want nothing to do with it.

I really don't care. The RNP need to payoff Trump because I'm not voting for him. Period. Consider it to be about my well being.

Your right in the sense there's no evidence of a coup. I believe at a minimum he should be acquitted. However, there's good reason to have doubts about Trump's integrity. His lack of distancing himself from the groups like the Proud Boys ("Stand back, and stand by") and the alt-right make him a rather nefarious kind of evil. His comments that Pence is "a traitor" and his more recent he should be "hanged" says to me had the rioters reached him and Pelosi, he'd have been fine with the results. Not the issue of a "planned" coup amongst fellow politicians, but did he manipulate his base into attacking the Capitol. I think that's the more plausible avenue, but I don't think you can prove manipulation in court. It's sort of the thing fascist leaders do. It's the big lie, and they hit it home with repetition and cadence as Trump does. With the other riots you might be able to make the argument through liberal policies this was the end result (lack of police funding etc), but I'd be surprised if actual Democrat politicians encouraged/instigated the riots. That's the difference between the two IMO.

Not nobody but REPUBLICANS don't care about Jan 6th. That's the point. Claiming to be law & order over the Floyd riots while simultaneously not giving a shits ass about Jan 6th is pretty much telling me what I need to know. I'm not seeing any real winners in this mess.

I hope not but it looks to me like a road paved for Trump in 2024. The denial of Jan 6th amongst Republicans, the Floyd riots, inflation, Biden etc. The damage Trump has already done to the social fabric of America. I want nothing to do with it. If the Dems have to bribe or sanction him off I'm for it. Hopefully the Repubs are doing the same, but I'm much less confident there.
I have no problem with Trumps lack of integrity. You are 100% on the fact that he is an ahole. I've been very vocal about the fact that I won't vote for Trump

But as you point out I can't vouch for other conservatives. And yes Republicans voted against Trump that's why Biden won in a landslide.

Just like some Republicans broke ranks to help get the infrastructure bill passed. Just because I don't believe it was a coup doesn't mean I don't think Jan 6th was acceptable. I also believe Trump was 100% responsible and he should face charges for inciting Public unrest

And the Jan 6th rioters should face very stiff charges but so should a lot of the other rioters last year so it is what it is

I will say this publicly and I mean it I will not vote for Trump in 2024. I've never liked him and I never will.

But unless you give me someone better then Biden and Harriss and unless dems in office start showing they know how to govern with public safety in mind and not all this stupid social experimenting on a national level I won't vote for them either. Because I guarantee you if Dems keep going the route they are going on a lot of issues you won't get the same republican backing you did in 2020.

And if the Republicans are smart and pick someone better and the dems are still allowing crime and just being idiotic and they give me another Biden Harris combo?

I'll say it publicly I'm voting Red bro straight up.

I'd say with Biden's poll numbers about all they have to do is "throw" someone out there and they'll win. I'm a bit concerned though about their silence. I'll assume they're lying low and waiting for Trump's base to smarten up. But because of they're silence that concerns me Trump still is dictating. I'd rather the RNP just throw $$$ at him cause I really don't have much faith anyone is going to challenge him. Mind the very real possibility he won't, but alas....

Agree with you on all points I do think your accurate with your assessments. I'm not happy about that fact wish the conservative base could do better but it is what it is

I just wish that dems could understand that they're victory last time was am endorsement of they're Covid policies and an indictment against Trump

They're policies and approaches on crime inflation energy border security education and race are extremely extremely unpopular some of these policies especially on crime just already showing massive problems in implentation

I think they mistook the massive voter support as an endorsement that America wanted they're more radical policies and it just was a huge mistake. That they don't seem to want to address. They the politicians just want to double down and call any feedback against policies a signal that your a white supremacist and a traitor to democracy

I mean thats not working obviously Virgiana was a huge answer to that approach

If supporting democracy means I have to live in sh$tholes with outrageous taxes and just terrible crime rates I mean what am I supposed to do?

Cmon guys be better give America better and we'll get on board

Their victory was because the Orange Man sunk himself. It's called Trump Fatigue. "Proud Boys, stand back, and stand by!" Probably not real good optics there. To ratings highs CNN and Msnbc ran Trump coverage into the ground with the lead up to the election. It was quite ridiculous his behavior and character problems. A petulant child that cannot accept he lost. I'd say it was the two year mark of his term people started waking up to the deep state and fake news nonsense. They started realizing that maybe CNN wasn't lying after all. You have to understand though they really didn't have to much. You just run coverage of his lies and tantrums. The single silliest thing was probably the notion he was this religious person because he opposed abortion and would hold up a bible for the cameras. Because religious people are not soft spoken and humble. No they're LOUD. Good grief the stupidity! I liked the part about when he first entered the primary he was asked what are some of his favorite verses in the bible. "Oh I like them all!" Really, people are this retarded???? Faux had to have been so reactive covering up for his lies. Bring in Kelly Anne Conway, a professional liar. She's superb at deflection, but she's still lying. Sarah Huckabee Sanders I'll give her credit, but it was also the earlier part of his term. Kaylee McEnany always looked like a deer in headlights as Press Secretary. Then it was Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) because YOU were the problem, not him. It was just more deflection. Someone did a tabulator and came to 17K lies, but I'm pretty sure it was higher. They just quit after that. Opposition on say youtube would go "But all presidents lie!" And they'd reply, "Yeah, but they don't lie THIS much. That still amounts to [say] 20 lies per day."

There was the time Trump was given a large electoral map of his victory over Hillary. They wanted to do a prayer, but if I remember right Trump was much more captivated with the map. The time he predicted where the hurricane would pass over Florida. They'd zoom in to show there was a black sharpie circling where the hurricane actually went. They literally ran this poop into the ground.

What I'm saying is I get your memo and other democrats memo that you don't have any balls.
Your so busy trying to make everyone happy you can't make anyone happy. You can't govern because you don't have the balls to do it. You can't say I support minorities issues but you know what you guys? You will still need to be held accountable to law and order applied equally to all whether you like it or not. Congratulations on governing with no balls you've created a red wave that's going to sweep in 2022 and you got no one to blame but yourselves.
There are many Republicans that feels the same with respect to democracy as I do, including on this board, though you clearly don't. We are not looking for a strong man using "law & order" to put steel-plated jackboots on our necks though there are many individuals with a profound lack of moral character looking for just such a person.

I'm not going to bother trying to find it but there's audio of Lindsay Graham calling the Georgia Director and asking for 18K votes. I imagine Trump told him to do it. Probably the Sec of State.
Another things is WTF was TX filing a voting lawsuit in IA for??? That's not even remotely within jurisdiction.
Shhhh. It's just to pander to folks. Nothing to see here.

If being democratic means I have to live in cities like Austin where they can't even answer all 911 calls,

Chicago where 2 gangs just shot up an entire neighborhood and were let off due to mutual combat,

LA where they just told people to just let burglars break into your home and a detective was just interviewed calling LA a real life Version of the purge,

where minorites in these cities are using each other like target practice which is not cool at all a lot of youth are diying without a chance to reach there potential then I don't want it bro.

That doesn't make me non democratic just means I don't agree with your point of view.

Welcome to democracy where we have the freedom to disagree

I don't care if your liberal or republican if you can't do the basics then you can't govern. If you can't keep your citizens safe then your idea of democracy is worthless

Sorry if that rubs you the wrong way but if you don't have law and order then society will eat itself alive.

But go ahead and just say it's all white supremacy and law and order are strong people putting there boots on people's necks. Keep demonizing police and defunding them and just encouraging criminals. And all the other stuff you like to spout off on.

Voters don't agree and if this is what dems campaign on you guys are just setting up the red wave in 2022. But I'll give you this your willing to die on that hill of beliefs you guys go by. Even if they don't work I'll give you that

I'm actually believe it or not trying to help you. I don't want Trump back in office but dems after getting a slam dunk in the elections last year are just crapping all over it man.

Be better please

And grow some balls too please

I hope things don't get much worse. Because they suck quite a bit right now. And, hopefully, the Democrat party will learn from their mistakes. And return to pursuing policies that actually make the working class's lives better. But I'm skeptical that they will, because of yours and other people's responses. You clearly care more about hating Republicans than the actual problems people want Democrats to solve. Which is what that youtube video is about.
When did a right wing crony EVER do anything to make the working class's lives better in recent times? Name a policy in the last few years. The party of Eisenhower is long gone. It is the most disgusting bunch of bigotted swamp creatures that inhabit the republican congress these days. There are corrupt corporate dems for sure, but, at least a percentage of them try to come up with policies that make the lives of the common man better.

Trump provided the ideal cover for, and entry point for Progressives. But the fundamental questions are never asked, like the ones in the video first posted, they are avoided at all costs. It's long been known that the big cities run by Democrats for many decades have most of the monstrous problems Democrats say they hate. Yet, they persist. Ask any Democrat about FDR and they'll smile and call him a Hero. Yet, if they were honest, most of the policies that enabled what those on the left today call Systemic Racism, began in the FDR administration. Housing, redlining, segregated neighborhoods, you name it, FDR started it. Housing, as pointed out in the video, is a HUGE issue for Democrats today. Yet, their own cities have a stranglehold on zoning, education, overall housing regulations, and of course, taxes. With all that crap going on for many decades, progressives thought it would be easy to capture all of the young people who simply look at headlines on their phones, and takeover the entire DNC. But it's not just Republicans that think they're nutty is it? We currently have an enormous gap in this country between ridiculously Marxist/Socialist and those Trump supporters that think they're conservative. Biden can barely hold a thought and Trump has problems convincing anyone but loyal followers that he's not really a five year old with a permanent tantrum. In this climate, sane people have backed away.

Meanwhile, as murder records continue to be broken around the country....
