I meant, personally own a church, not as an organization. I was raised Catholic- well aware of the money and power aspects and they're some of the main reasons I left. Awfully cult-like, too- so much secrecy, wearing robes, fancy hats, lots of symbolism, chanting, use of candles and frankincense in special ceremonies......and the old "Only we can read the Bible- you wouldn't understand it, so we'll explain it all to you. If you pay us for as long as you live. Oh, BTW, if you give us lots of money, we'll guarantee you'll get to heaven".

I can't look at social media even for a minute without seeing at least one conservative spewing how Covid is getting a bad rap and getting blamed for people dying. Protecting guns and a deadly virus while letting real people get sick and die and protecting their gun caches. I'm all for people having a gun to protect themselves or their families but when they complain that they can't collect automatic weapons designed for mass murder then turn around and insist that school shootings are a hoax I just throw up in my mouth.

Glad you agree. Texas doesn't. My wife's OB asked THREE times if she was sure she wanted her tubes tied. I almost lost it after the first, but then I realized they are not only required to ask, but the "husband" had to agree.
