I bet the Sade discs sound real nice. Such a lovely voice.
Not being a fan of the Big K, but a novice in learning Speaker Design...A couple of weekends ago, I snared some lovely 1975 Klipsch La Scalas. I had to drive a few hours for them. I knew the crossovers were upgraded. What I did not know was that all drivers were also upgraded! The midrange driver is what the Klipsch forums recommend. It has the correct Crites crossover. The sensitivity of these babies is beyond what I was expecting or hoping for. Just incredible.
There is an outfit called Crites Speakers near Hope Arkansas, which is the home of Klipsch Speakers. They are not affiliated with them, but they sell new drivers, etc for the Heritage line. They also make crossovers. My upgraded components came from them, except for the midrange horn driver, which I think is from a Texas outfit. They guy I bought them from owned them for a year or so and he was not aware of all that the previous owner did. His wife made him sell them because they were too big. Ha!Not being a fan of the Big K, but a novice in learning Speaker Design...
Would you please share and/or link up some info detailing these mods and changes that you are mentioning?
Nice!! I don't even need a cassette deck but I would have bought that deck at that price. Congrats.Look! Thrifted $5.99.
Like the fact that it included a headphone jack on this Pioneer, which my previous decks didn't have. Really dusty inside and out. Gave a her a cool cleaning and she looks like new. Belts inside look great.

I had that deck and matching 6 CD changer and receiver with all remotes. Bought it for my daughter but she decided not to use it. Sold it to some guy including a Pioneer turntable. He was really appreciative that he got a complete matching system for under $100.Look! Thrifted $5.99.

It has great playback after adjustments on sound. Insides were clean. The inside of the cassette area had major dust. After using a blower and some alcohol on the heads I'm so happy with it, especially at the price. I have (4) 2 head decks now.I had that deck and matching 6 CD changer and receiver with all remotes. No HDMI on my old laptop so this was a $20 experiment to connect my laptop to my AVR via VGA video and USB audio with a 3 metre HDMI cable. Works great. No sync issues and it even scales the 1600x900 image to 1080. Hope to find some time to start playing with REW and make my first measurements. I can also access the subwoofer candy materiel more easily now. Of course that's Band-maid on screen.

I had that Gladys Night album myself about 30 years and change ago... Can't remember anymore what year it was or if I got it new or at a garage sale. Used to get dragged along to them in case Mom wanted something she might want crammed in the station wagon. I'll never get over it, that I left for basic with about 65 albums stacked up in my bedroom, that I never saw again. OMG Mom it's still killing me inside .Cool little Vinyl Haul earlier today.
These are the highlights discolored so you can see the real colors when I post em later on the vinyl thread. Stunned to see these all in almost Mint. Jazz, R&B, Folk and Rock.

Just 3 sessions? Wow that could turn into an expensive hobby...Bought new brake pads after my first 3 sessions during a track day yesterday. I didn't realize how fast street pads would go on the track...
I'll get race pads if I do it again. Street pads just aren't meant for that kind of abuse.Just 3 sessions? Wow that could turn into an expensive hobby...
