I understand compromises. If I were single, this would be easy. I, however, am married and my wife doesn't share my interest in this endeavor. She has been understanding so far, but there are limitations.
I am married and don't share my wife's interest in room decor. I've been understanding so far, but there are limitations. I'm not going to spend a lot of money to have my system neutered in the name of aesthetics.

Why the two different L/R speaker sets? I can see why the wife may not be in favor of that :).

Those look nice!

Um, are you doing a comparison or something tho with the 2 sets of speakers right up front?
Guess you didn't read the OP's original post. Ones used for HT, one for 2 Channel

The OP stated "I thought it would be easier to do separate systems."

Sizing these pictures is not working too well. I'll have to cut them in half.

Impressive you were able to get those rear speakers approved.

I still think one of those Subs could fit next to the couches and still have that end table there too. If your unhappy with the Base. But you did say it was Good in the Money Spot. That's the Spot that matters

That was one picture. I had to split it.

Yes I know you're using them separately, the question is why separate speakers for the two uses instead of sharing a single pair which should help out with WAF....when I resize I find a percentage that works well, usually 25-30% of original.

You see the trick is to wait till the Wife/Boss (Rolling Eyes) is out of the House for awhile. (Give her a little Cash to go take care of herself.) Then you rearrange everything. She will never know when she comes back. Its a Win Win. :)

I think it could be possible to have it facing out into the room between the loveseat and end table. There is not enough room for it to be next to the sliding glass door and facing the other sub.

I had the complete stereo system. For HT, I had a Bose Lifestyle; which is its own self contained thing. When it came time to replace it, I was already operating with different systems.

I considered using the CM10's for both, but did not/do not know how to switch between both uses and keeping the CM10's on the Parasound amp.

That's why I thought it would be easier to just buy the HT speakers and run them off the Marantz AVR. It was either here or AVS Forums where I got help with using the by-pass feature of the Parasound pre-amp to use the subs for both purposes.
