Seriously, I have no life.
What did we ever do before air conditioning?
Before AC, people stewed in their own juices. Another great part about not having a way to cool off anytime they wanted- they usually bathed only once a week and THAT'S the reason we have perfume and cologne.

I hear ya, man. I don't know what's best either. I think it will depend a great deal on each area and the prevalence of infections as to how this should unfold.

3, 5 & 6...are you building a ball team? :D
Well, I wanted to have kids closer together than me and my siblings. 5 years older than my brother and 10 years older than my sister.

However, mine might be TOO close. People ask all the time if the girls are twins.

I told my wife that the reason my parents waited 5 years between kids is once they get to 5, they're a bit easier (picky eating sort of over, getting dressed on their own) and you can explain things in a way they can understand and learn. So once they get to 5 you've forgotten what having a baby/toddler feels like and it's "oh, look how cute they are" until they get to 2-3 then the feeling is "oh, right, that's why we waited".

So, I'm done at 3. Tubes are tied. No more kids.

one of the biggest problems of many, with any of this is transportation, they only have so many buses, and then can only transport so many kids per bus and then clean them and pic up another batch..

I have to think diet and general health have something to do with it, though- they came out early and said that Vitamin D has an effect, but not knowing this was coming made it impossible to test the theory because, as you know, tests need to show cause & effect. I know people who have a cold more than once every year, whether they need it or not, yet I and others don't get a cold most years- I haven't had one in over two years. If I had anything, it lasted a couple of days, at most. So far, I haven't had COVID symptoms, even though I know someone who was in the hospital for ten days with it. I asked Aurora and Ascencion Health Care if I could be tested and after answering their questions, they told me I didn't have it but I pressed for more info because I wanted to know, not assume or guess. I was finally able to be tested yesterday and will find out in about a week.
IMO, vitamin D3 is the Sun's vitamin and as we in North America live a little distant from the Equator, we are not subjected to as much sunrays. In Winter months, the situation is even worse. Also, to get enough of that Sun vitamin, we have to expose more than our face and our arms and that is not always possible, we don't live on beaches. A lot of us have a deficiency of this vitamin and it's a good idea to consume it in a supplement form.

Personally, I take 3000 UI of the vitamin on a daily basis, and an adult can take up to 5000 units per day without any risk. I don't remember exactly when I had my last episode of flu. I also take cod liver oil supplements on days I don't eat fish.

People can choose to receive more sunlight but OTOH, they could also avoid Diabetes and other health problems that make them more vulnerable to COVID- obviously, genetic predisposition or major physical disabilities aside. One good way to get a lot of sunlight is to go boating and that's not restricted to boat owners since rentals are available.

"Hold on kids, gonna be a bumpy ride"
Talking of a bumpy ride, in our province last week, a stupid tractor driver killed 3 young kids who were on the tractor on an uneven road, when they fell off. Some adults were also injured.

Maybe it's more on a genetic level? Maybe some people have something that just causes them to be especially vulnerable to this virus not just underlying conditions and level of health

There's still a lot it sounds like they don't know but I'm wondering if that could be a possibility
There have been reports that those with type A blood are at higher risk for severe COVID-19, whereas those with Type O blood are at reduced risk. As far as I can tell, no one knows for sure why this is.

>>>Researchers analyzed genetic data from more than 1,600 patients hospitalized with severe cases of COVID-19 in Italy and Spain and compared them with about 2,200 others who didn’t have the disease. After making adjustments to account for the effects of age and sex on COVID-19 risk, the researchers found striking differences in blood types of the sick patients compared with the controls.

In this population, having Type A blood was associated with a 45% increased risk of having severe COVID-19. On the other hand, having Type O blood was associated with a 35% reduced risk of the disease. <<<

There have also been reports that DNA inherited from Neanderthals may increase risk of Covid-19. However, this strikes me as quite speculative:
