But then he didn't go further while he was trying to castigate Obama for not having one?
I guess he didn't dare call out Trump and team at least not pulingl it out and see how good it was. It may have been the same that the team had exercised with in early 2017
but I guess all those folks are long gone and forgotten along with the plan.
I don't know if he went further- I don't like the guy, so I rarely listen to him.

I'm not sure how relevant this is but it made for a good read just something new to look at

I almost choked on my breakfast this morning when I read this

The day your local organized crime outfit can help you more then your government lol
Who'd have thought?
Not a history buff, eh? In the last century, Mussolini did it, Capone had soup kitchens during the Great Depression. How do you think they win public sentiment?

This article reports on a study showing that the immune system can recognize and respond to the virus that causes COVID-19:

>>>If we had seen only marginal immune responses, we would have been concerned," says Sette, a professor in the Center for Infectious Disease and Vaccine Research, and adds, "but what we see is a very robust T cell response against the spike protein, which is the target of most ongoing COVID-19 efforts, as well as other viral proteins. These findings are really good news for vaccine development." . . .The researchers found that all COVID-19 patients had a solid CD4, or "helper," T cell response, which helps antibody production. Almost all patients had produced virus-specific CD8, or "killer," T cells, which eliminate virus-infected cells. "Our data show that the virus induces what you would expect from a typical, successful antiviral response," says Crotty. <<<

Hah hah yeah I slept through history classes lol but no seriously I remember history what made me almost choke on breakfast was when I read about how the cartels were putting out signs saying if we catch you breaking the restrictions were going to really really hurt you.

With all the people over here refusing to properly social distance a little voice inside was telling me we could use em over here
;)

In fact we've been going about this whole thing the wrong way :D

Momma said, drink your milk ! I could be wrong but I also thought exposure to Sun (moderation) is also important to Vitamin D absorption.

Many nutrition specialists don't recommend adults to consume dairy products, as they are the cause of many inflammatory reactions.

Personally, the only dairy product which I consume a few times a week is a good Camembert or a blue cheese. As a matter of fact, some cheeses contain Vitamin K2 to protect our arteries.

Interesting report on deficient Vitamin D levels and increased mortality on Covid-19 victims:

I read this just now too:

"About 42% of the US population is vitamin D deficient. However, this rate rises to 82% in black people and 70% in Hispanics"

Outside of the elderly, those are the two most hardest hit demographics. I used to have D3 softgels as part of my vitamin routine. Think I'm gonna go ahead and order some more...

Initial reports show that the Moderna vaccine causes an antibody response in patients. The antibody data is for only 8 people, but the results nevertheless look good so far:

>>>A candidate vaccine for Covid-19 developed by the drug maker Moderna appears to generate an immune response similar to the response seen in people who have been infected by the virus and recovered, the company said Monday. . . .

The early readout included arms of the trial involving people ages 18 to 55 years old who received either two doses at the 25 microgram or 100 microgram level or one dose at 250 microgram. There were 45 people involved in these three arms, though neutralizing antibody data are only available at this point for the first four patients each of the 25 microgram and 100 microgram cohorts.

People who received two doses at the 25 microgram level developed binding antibodies at levels consistent with those seen in the blood of people who have recovered from Covid-19 infection, the statement said. People who received two doses at 100 microgram had binding antibody levels that “significantly exceeded” the levels seen in the blood of Covid-19 survivors.

Based on the data, Moderna is adding a 50 microgram dose arm to the Phase 2 trial it is leading and NIAID is amending the Phase 1 trial it is conducting to add a 50 microgram arm.<<<

IMO, one is much better getting 'D' naturally from a beneficial food source than any damn pill. As I stated in an earlier post, salmon baby, eat your salmon !

Let's revisit hydroxychloroquine, one more time. Two recent publications both show hydroxychloroquine with or without azithromycin treatment had no benefit for Covid-19 patients.

One study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) looked at 1438 patients. It concluded that treatment with hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, or both, compared with neither treatment, was not significantly associated with differences in in-hospital mortality.
The other study published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) looked at 1376 patients. It concluded that hydroxychloroquine neither reduced nor increased risks of intubation (ventilator assisted breathing) or death among Covid-19 patients.

These studies are only observational. Neither of them were formal clinical trials, where patients with similar characteristics, were randomly chosen to receive hydroxychloroquine, hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin, or a control treatment. But they both involved such large numbers of patients that their results cannot be ignored. Large randomized, controlled clinical trials of hydroxychloroquine ± azithromycin are ongoing, and they will provide definitive results. It's easy to predict that these trials will put the final nail in the coffin for these treatments for Covid-19.

Trump and Faux News were absolutely reckless and irresponsible to promote those drugs as treatments for Covid-19. These clinical results should be rubbed in their faces so they cannot ignore or deny their role in promoting such snake oil.

Here is a new clinical study that will possibly answer this question in time.
