People make too many assumptions and over-react to what is posted on these forums, almost as if they skimmed it and missed certain points. I have never written that I like Trump or most of what he has done, but he has done some things that were good. The hard core Left sees EVERYTHING he does as bad, even if it has been considered good by the main stream media.
Some things you said earlier include
"Stop using always, never, everyone and no one- using those is an assumption that has no support. "
"You can stop putting all Conservatives in the same cesspool with politicians- we aren't as similar as you think, just as all Liberals aren't the same as all Liberal politicians."

I wish you would take a page from your own advice.

And no. No one seriously takes everything Trump does as bad. That would literally be impossible as he takes every position on everything at one point or another.

That doesn't seem to matter, though. I hate hearing him speak, I hate watching him on TV. That said, I would never have voted for Hillary
That right there establishes you as the fanatic; guilty of over-reaction and assumption

There are even circumstances I would have voted for Trump (Hitler as his literal opponent for example).

and I don't like the Democrat candidates but for those of us in this boat, we don't have many choices.
You have one choice. You can support Biden or you can support Trump.

There's no way that giving any POTUS a free pass on bad actions and policies is OK and it sets bad precedents, for both parties because it becomes "well, the last ones did it, so we'll do it, too".
But to be clear: you are going to vote for him.

You wrote "...become disillusioned with capitalism, or at least the kind they got" and that's the critical point- THEIR GOVERNMENT got it wrong and the people have to suffer for it. The governments are corrupt, within the Capitalist system that they designed and the people who are able will take advantage of it.
And the nature of that corruption is to not oversee the markets and not control the private companies... to allow too much unregulated capitalism.

The governments that have done better have exerted more influence on things like welfare and helathcare and industry oversight than the US. We used to do more; but we've been deregulating since the 80s... and raising the deficit while actually lowering services (which appears to be a strategic decision with the GOP to make it impossible for the DNC to persue its objectives... which is why GOP-created deficit is the most important thing to the GOP ever... but only when the DNC is in power).

It's not the restrictions that make it Communism or Socialism, it's when the government decides that it's going to do more than it should
"than it should".

I'm reminded that anyone that drives slower than me is an idiot and anyone that drives faster is a maniac.

"than it should" makes your definition a subjective/relative one. "capitalism" is whatever you like and "socialism" is whatever you dislike.

I'd prefer to work with a definition that can be tested.

Seriously, I have no life.
Valid question and to that I assume the bigger Drug Houses we know of are also working 24/7 on this ?
From what I heard, Johnson&Johnson is investing $1B in that department of theirs to get a vaccine.

Trumps pushing hard to reopen the US despite the push back from industry leaders who want to increase and improve testing. He also changed his tune towards China's handling of covid as well as the WHO. I truly feel sorry for my American friends that have to endure this fcuktard's temper tantrums. I gotta stop listening to the fake news. It makes my blood boil.

Don't forget, he wants his signature on the aid checks. I think he thinks he is KING.
I also heard on radio that 40,000 of the wealthiest will get a huge benefit from that $2T bailout.

I heard that 99.99% of the crap read on the internet is true or false.

WHERE did you hear this? Think of this as a school paper and you need to show your sources.

I don't know about the 40,000 part, but here are the details on Trump wanting/requiring his signature on the checks:

It has been in all the papers. A check was shown in TV this morning. I'm a Republican but I can't wait to see this idiot gone.

Be a lot better if they worked together instead of competing to be first (granted, I have no idea if this is the case).

The more the merrier.
You seem to have a great deal of influence:

>>>Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline, two of the world’s biggest vaccine players, may be competitors, but the COVID-19 pandemic has now made them partners.

In an unprecedented tie-up unveiled Tuesday, the companies are joining forces to work on a potential COVID-19 vaccine. They aim to start human testing in the second half of this year, and if all goes well, to file for potential approvals by the second half of 2021.<<<

On AM radio station Or was it on TV as I listened on after the other today.

There you go above me. I didn't make it up and actually I should have stated 43,000. Must have grown since I heard it.
Wondering how much profiteering the KING's family is reaping from the pot that they are overseeing.

But, it is all fake news.

Here is an article that refers to what he is talking about.
I thought this deserved a bit more "air-play" than a simple link!

This from Forbes:
While wealthy Americans are not eligible for the comparatively measly $1,200 stimulus checks that are now being disbursed to many Americans, they are on pace to do even better. 43,000 taxpayers, who earn more than $1 million annually, are each set to receive a $1.7 million windfall, on average, thanks to a provision buried in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

That's Congress, for ya- slipping pork into Bills for far too long.

Who, in your opinion, would be the best person or group to confront them about this?

You meant to write "That's GOP, for ya"?

Just stop.

If I had meant only the GOP, I would have written that. The House of Representatives signed it and Democrats have the majority, so don't let them off so easily.
