The reason for buying a Ferrari has FAR FAR FAR less to do with performance than the rest of the car. If you need an analogy, why buy an original Van Gogh when you can buy a computer generated copy, accurate to the nano, for next to nothing? Because one is a Van Gogh and one isn’t. To each his own.

I wouldn't even pay over $15 for a bottle of wine.

Actually I still own separates and have always owned Separates since I started this hobby 30 years ago.

I was a party animal in my younger years, lol. I don't drink anymore tho. I got tired of the hangovers when I got into my 40's and hung it up.

I was a binge drinker at one point too. I was told by a counselor once that 15 drinks was my danger zone. LOL.

I think AVRs generally suck, I have no interest in surround sound, and there's no way I'll ever have another one in any of my systems.

Pogre reacted to this post, in which I must confess I lied. My HT system now includes a Marantz AVR functioning as a pre-pro. So much for "no way".
