Definitive technology pro cinema 600 eq setting

I have a definitive pro cin 600 speaker system. 5.1 channel and i am looking forbsome help or recommendation with sound quality or eq settings. I have gone through the auto setup with the included mic, but it is still not where i think it could be. I dont want to keep cranking up the volume to be emersed in the sound.

Anyone have any recommendations or eq setting that they use that could help?

Without knowing what the make/model of your avr is and what your results were with the auto setup, hard to know what your options are particularly....

That covers a lot of ground, which model? What were the crossovers, levels and delays (distance)set by MCACC for each channel?

How big is the room? An 8” sub wont give you much, unless it’s a really small room.
Did you bump the sub trim after calibration?

Yeah he may need a bigger sub , the smaller models placement is everything. Improper placement dooms many lower spl subs .
Wish we knew is amp model Andrew Jones Speakers are power hungry a weak amp wont give you there high end low price clear sound .
Klipsch subs are better but he needs a big powerhouse brand of sub or better yet a diy sub(s)?
I never heard real bass til my diy sub ,

Sadly you are not likely going to be able to get big bass out of this system. Def tech seriously overinflates their sub responses. They list yours as having a frequency response down to 22 hz, which I doubt, it's probably more like 35-40 Hz based on my experiences with a deftech SC4000, which they rate down to 16 Hz, but it falls off a cliff at 30 Hz.

You can always turn up the surrounds a dB or two if you feel that they aren't producing enough surround effects for you.

Think I was tired pioneer is the receiver haha . Either way way def tech has a ton of eq on there subs . To make them loud but they dont go really low.

Not sure how much boost they put on their subs, but this piticular model doesn't matter as it can't keep up much past the mains.

Also make sure all speakers are set to small and around a 90hz crossover.

DT's info page for this set recommends a 120hz crossover....

They don't inflate them, they're just not specifying that the 22hz is at a minuscule volume, lol. It's a little dishonest to the customers by not being clear what the real -3dB point is...in this case, 120hz.

Hopefully the sats are better than a -3dB point of 120hz but I wouldn't put it past DefTec to stretch the suggested crossover to past the sats f3....
