No moral compass is the condition which fuels gun violence. It effected me about a decade ago. I was teaching 3rd grade. One of my students refused to comply with my instruction for him to take a seat. Not wanting to bring more attention to this disturbance, I had the school's security person remove the student from the class, since the student would not leave class without physical force. As the student was forced out, he said he was going to come back the next day and kill me. I told him that I would not be at school on Saturday. He then said, "Monday". I said, "No, you won't likely be back here until next Thursday". Then I asked, "how you gonna do it, how are you going to kill me, Davon". He said his brother had a gun. Well, knowing that this would be my last day of teaching because this kid would kill me if he could, I said, "thanks Devon, I don't want to bring a knife to a gun fight". His response was it was illegal for me to bring a gun to school. Yeah, he had already contemplated I would be unarmed. At any rate, I knew the scenario would be something like him pulling a pistol out of his backpack and shooting me at close range, then taking his seat becoming tranquil like he never pulled the trigger. I imagined that later the student's grandmother would likely be interviewed by the local news, heard to say, "my grandson's a good boy". At any rate, I quit. That was it for me, all down the drain for one kid who did not have any sort of understanding about life, and, if he's alive today, living the gangster life, he probably still does not have a moral compass. It's what happens when God is not in a child's life.
Damn. That's crazy.

Perfect example of parents not doing their job. You bring a kid into this world, its your job to teach them how to be a contributing member of society, not a burdon to it.

Well this is what happens when little Johnny is told he's perfect all his life, everybody gets a trophy and when he fails in school, it's the teachers fault. Responsibility is a foreign concept to a lot of these kids nowadays, personally and to the community at large.

It's absolutely insane that a 3rd grader would say those things- why didn't you follow up and have the school meet with the parents?

I knew a teacher who worked at the same school I attended K-6 and one of her students pulled a knife on her-this was a 4th grader. She immediately went to the principal and found that the school didn't know how to deal with this since the kid was Black in a predominantly White area and school, so she quit and went to a different school. Her problem with this was in the fact that the little dear lived one block due North from her house and if he had been expelled, I would have fully expected his dad and grandfather to have attacked her.

This has nothing to do with racism- his father stole my bike when we were both 15 and then, they moved into the neighborhood from a very bad part of MKE and trashed the house in a nice, quiet area of a suburb at the border of MKE. Fast forward to about 5 years ago when a kid with the same name was pulled over by the MKE police- he took off and put both officers in the hospital. After he was arrested, dear old dad was on TV, saying that this was just a case of an 18 year old kid who made a mistake. I recognized the name and looked it up on the site for Wisconsin Circuit Court records and found that, sure enough, same guy. Looking further, the 18 year old's GF was the guy who stole my bike and HIS father has a criminal record. FOUR generations of criminals in this family. I just looked again and all three of the living males have at least ten offenses, each has at least two felonies. The youngest was 16 when his first of three paternity cases was filed against him- the other two were filed in May and June of this year.

Many are angry but have not identified the cause.
Many university students are upset by the college debt they are incurring, for good reason.
Universities have an endless appetited for cash and no regard for the debt and hardship placed on the students they profess to care about.
They send their lobbyists to Washington to demand more cash. For students, they push socialism to make and the forgiveness of debt.
They are masters of redirection.

Real solutions are ignored:

- Require universities to co-sign loans. If you educate students with useless degrees, you bear the cost.
- Get government out of the student loan business. They are not good at it.
- Allow student loans to be cancelled by bankruptcy. Why not?

Culturally, we must understand the difference with gaining skills training and credentials.
We have a system that requires credentials and increasingly provides little or no skills. It's a recipe for disaster.

For those who want to socialize education, I'll buy into your plan so long as professors are paid government scale.
Let's see how these socialist loving professors making 6 and 7 figure incomes feel about it when discover their new pay scale :p

- Rich
No such thing as a useless degree. The schools don’t pick the major, the students do.

If I major in minority studies, is it the schools fault that I can’t find work to repay the loan?

The degree is now a status symbol, hence parents committing crime to get their children admitted to prestige universities.

The junior college system is a cheaper alternative. Trades offer a lot of careers that pay six figures annually.

It has everything to do with race, the assumption is that generational crime or crime itself doesn’t exist without the “other.”
Do you, (generic) really believe Caucasian children don’t threaten violence in schools? Or that gang/ criminal culture only exist in minority communities?

He didn't mention a particular religion.
If you are going to have intellectual integrity then you know he is not speaking of Islam, but I will play along, the presence of “God” however you recognize the entity does not equate to righteousness.

Race - Yes
Ethnicity - Yes
Political Affiliation - No, but I vote!

Why is it important for you that I “identify” myself ?

We are having a discussion on the Internet. The Internet is by nature anonymous, because you disagree with something I wrote you are asking me to validate my existence to you? That is the equivalent of asking for my papers!

"papers", racist
What are we, 5 year’s old?
It is perfectly ok for you to disagree with an idea I advance, the arguments stand or fall on their own. They won’t be validated or discredited based on my race, ethnicity, or political affiliation.

I meant that I wasn't picking this family because of something I only read or heard about them- it was from personal involvement.

To answer your last question; no, I don't think that caucasian kids are exempt from this and the fact is, Whites have killed more people for stupid reasons than anyone else.
