For any of you golf peeps out there I picked up a used Titleist Scotty Cameron Laguna 2 for a good price on ebay. Best putter I ever owned and I could putt lights out with it back in the day.

I'm a golfhead actually...can't go wrong with a SC putter, but they've always been above my pay scale so that's good to hear.

I bought a Taylormade spider LY and loving it.

That's a nice putter all of my woods and hybrids are Taylormade. My current go to putter is a Seemore and the Scotty will have to really perform to get in the bag as I putt well with the Seemore. It will be a nice collectors item anyway.

I somewhat recently turned over the most of the bag, including the bag itself. Total mixed bag...wedges 60,56 are Cleveland, 52, 48 and 9-5i are Taylormade, 3H is Callaway, 3w is Taylormade M2, Driver is Titleist 917D3. Odd that I hit the TM M2 driver a little further, but the 917 I can keep it in play with a fade or fairly straight ball...was turning the M2 over which for me can turn into a hook....those don't stay in play too often.

My 4h is the lone club from my previous set that I'm probably going to upgrade in a few weeks.

I had the TFM-35 in the mid 90's wish I still had it. Don't blame you if you keep it. Let's say it cost 4 bills to bring it up to as new condition still last another 20 years.
I'm going to replace the power supply caps myself at some point this summer. I noticed a hum coming from within when I'm close to it, and that's the most likely culprit. After that I will asses its value... I still have a Yamaha AX596 I haven't sold, the Outlaw mono's that are my daily drivers, and now this thing. Something has got to go! I promised I wouldn't hoard audio equipment anymore, but I'm moving in the wrong direction.

That Carver amp is definitely a nice find! I don't have luck like that
I would do the same as you replacing the caps myself. Fun lil project for sure, but knowing me I would replace as much of the internals as I could technically. After your done I feel you won't let it go. Again very nice find!

Do any of you Carver peeps remember the Carver Cube? I think is was rated at 200WPC and came out in the early mid 80's. Never had or heard one but it sure was an interesting design.

Wow that is a really a nice set of clubs. I am currently sporting some Wilson DI7 irons with TM Jetspeed driver and TM RBZ fairway woods and hybrids. Too many putters to list but the Scotty Laguna or the Seemore will be in the bag.

A roommate during my freshman year of college had one - I thought it was one of the coolest things I had ever seen and way out of my poor student budget. For reference, I had a 20wpc Technics receiver. Needless to say, the Technics didn't see any action that year. Come to think of it, neither did I... :(

Too funny. It did look cool I wonder if any of those are still in use. Did you get to listen to it?

Oh, yes - I lived with the guy for couple semesters. He had it connected to a Technics preamp and Toby speakers. Super powerful and clean sounding.

I was thinking of ordering this one for the new light switch....I dunno. It's kind of cheeky.

Thanks...it's okay. This was my 2nd set in the last 20 yrs...what I've learned is demo and buy the outgoing model just before the new model is out...the technology improvements now (last 5 yrs or so) are basically minor tweaking and slick marketing.

If one could actually get "10 yards more drive" or "more accurate putting" out of getting a new set of clubs every year, one would expect 450 yard Par 4's to eagle or ace'd every time by now.

LOL...even for those that play a good bit, I think most of us would be content with breaking 90 or breaking 80 every so often.

What's funny is the clubs are typically better, but the players that actually realize the improvement are the guys that are already among the best in the world! Like they really need 10 more yds!

Sounds like the year over year improvements in SQ of audio gear ;)

Is it a mechanical hum?

I would say the transformer is the most likely source of the hum, and even more likely if it is a torroid.

All transformers hum, some worse than others, and tend to get worse with age.
