Man I'm so jealous lovin I really really like very well done horns and great ones at that price range are just very very difficult to find. If I had learned about these speakers before my first into SVS I'd have snatched them up in a heartbeat. Yeah it is literally impossible to find the 530's they have been discontinued which is why I just kind off let the idea of getting this series go. 3 590's and 4 530's would have been just perfect for me. And really filled up my space with sound.

On a cool note anyone in my area looking for some 590's and 580's there's a posting for both on San Antonio Craigslist for a really decent price.

If I didn't have to pay property taxes Id have snatched these up in a heartbeat right now just to play with them and try them out!
Yeah those pesky property taxes.... :)

I'm still a tv guy or I would have liked to have three 590s up front for sure. Did you like/need the bookshelf form particularly for the surrounds? In the right room rather have 590s all around...but I don't have that room at all, LOL.

It's not out of the question they are so huge though even in my space they are not small speakers but I'd be down for it. I mean I am planning on moving the prime towers to all my surrounds once I upgrade the front 3. The only way to do it tho is pray next year they have enough of them in stock to do that crazy half of sell. 7 590's for 3'500 that would be a steal. 7 of them for 7000 at full price ahhh I'm not so sure about that one. Especially if I could score a pair hear and a pair there for great prices on Craig's list. Hmmmmmm you know my tax return is coming in so you never know. You guys will have to hit me up if you catch whiff if they're going on sale. I might just have to take that plunge. Lol

Yeah they're on the large side and the MSRP is on the high side, but they're not JTR 215RTs or DIYSG 1899s either (either of those would be very cool....but then there's that pesky cost part of the equation on the JTRs and the time to build & finish the 1899s...)

ps I'm getting a bit more skeptical each year as there are fewer and fewer S5xx series available at all it seems.

I'm listening to some old JBLs I picked up recently (couldn't resist a trip back to my youth in a sense), some 4311Bs. Nice speakers...

Once you sign an agreement to keep your man-parts out of my gear, you're welcome! Just PM me and we'll go from there.
I sold my ATI AT3005 amp about 2 weeks ago for $2K cash.

The guy who bought the AT3005 grabbed one of my SX-T1/R speakers and lifted it up a little.

I thought to myself, "Okay, he's buying my amp so I'll let this slide, but sure wish people would refrain from moving my speakers!"

Back when I had Salon2, 802D2, Orion, and Phil3, some people would try to move them back/forth also.

Damn that's like so rude. It's like buying a price off of furniture off of someone's front lawn and thinking that means I'm entitled to walk into his house without asking and take a monster sh@$!t At least you got 2k out of it. Heck for 2k I might let some one poop on my carpet! Never said I had high standards!:eek:o_O

My dad always said, "look with your eyes, not your hands."
I got it, finally, when I picked up a machete at a surplus store and gave myself a good cut. Nothing a bit of sucking on it, wincing, and discrete pouting didn't fix... but I d@mn sure didn't tell my dad!
That's also how I learned that you check a blade by gently moving your finger across, not along, the blade!

Now, for the person that touches my BMRs (or Phil-3s after I get them) without asking... I have the machete lesson to share!:oops::p

The newest Bose cubes really open up in the mids if you can swing the cost of some banana plugs to go with them.

I've found that, for most people, I don't have to be that aggressive. I let them fondle my speakers if they wash their hands and promise not to drool on them. There are always a few slack-jawed droolers, who require chin straps & drool cup, but you probably already know who they are.

Indeed, but that's why I bought a 100-pack of white cotton gloves.o_O

Ok. I didn't. I trust the three people I will allow in here unsupervised.

Sort of.

(Note to self. buy dixie cups.)

I feel like some respect should be had for anyone’s speakers no matter the cost. After all, sentimental value will usually hold a higher priority than monetary value. When I was at someone else’s house, I asked before touching them and they said yes. A simple question removed any hostility or worry. Just my $0.02 for anyone who plans on visiting someone else soon :)

My lawyer has a cohort who writes contracts for the porn industry. He is going to write up the agreement to make sure we get the terminology right and there are no "loopholes" that might give Danzilla (shall we say) purchase!

Sh!t! Maybe I need to rethink this!
I know that look...
That's the "Let's F%^k the cat" look!
If you don't see that look on my face then there's nothing to worry about. I'm serious! Really! Absolutely no need to worry at all!
