I noticed you also run with dynamicEq. I'm not sure of the offset, but run my subs at 80 vs 75 on the other channels.(no DEQ) Flat is just too...flat. Lol
I switch between 5db and 10db offset depending on the music I'm listening to. 0 for movies.

I gotta admit guys I am getting tired.. I kinda miss the days when my biggest problem is how to share folders with mac and windows.. this, what we're doing, is something else :)

now your TALKING! :)
Lol! Yeah buddy! That's why we do it.

Just to give a visual aid, here is a screenshot of a typical speaker measurement. As you can see it's fairly "flat"with a few bums and dips. A house curve, or similar would have a steady rise from about 200hz down to 20(or wherever the subs start to roll off). This normally sounds better to most people. That of course is subjective.

It gets simpler when you start grasping the concept. I can go through almost all the menus in my receiver without a monitor now.

Lol. But you're doing great. As long as it remains fun. I've considered training to be a professional installer, but I that would turn something I love into work.(mostly because of dealing with the public lol)I don't want to feel that way.

Lol! Yeah!
We do sometimes have to remind ourselves to stop splitting hairs and just love what we've got for what it is.

Now you can reproduce that experience at home. I love my music, but it's nice to have a setup for movies too. You have quite a few more speakers in your setup than I do. I'll bet it sounds awesome properly calibrated.

that's was my goal for buying the system.. now that I experienced it first hand, I am going to build a home of my own in few years and I'm definitely going to make a soundproof room just for home cinema for the entire family.. maybe even two if kids want a system of their own.. this time though .. I'll pay more attention to the gear I'd buy

Lol. Yes I can. We go to our local cineplex but mostly for the kids. I prefer watching at home, with the exception of screen size.

screen size is what's killing me .. I have a sony 55" but it just feels small.. I am planning to get an LG 4K OLED TV but it is so damn expensive.. for 55" i could get a 75" UHD.. but you can't compare it to the oled clarity

I have an equal interest of about 95% music and 95% movies. The rest is just tv series. It can be tricky balancing one system for different things, but taking the time is so worth it.

I agree. I have a lowly 58" pansy plasma, lol but the only thing for me to consider is an OLED. I'm about 16' away and it's just too small. Here's the front of my room. That little 58 just gets swallows up!

Pardon the mess. That was shot a Christmas time.
