I hope that you like them! I forgot to mention that my brother also has a pair of HD 600s, and he thinks that his modded 558 pair is 90-95% as good as the 600s...so I have high hopes for the 598s.

I was reading up more on the 598 SE in a thread over on head-fi. It seems that the "SE" is an amazon exclusive in the black styling and an extra cable. They had pretty much predicted that this was a setup for a black Friday deal.

And I saw at least about 4 people in that thread have already grabbed a set too. A good sign for sure.

That is the lowest prices that I have seen to date on both the Mackie CRs and the JBLs!!!

Can't go wrong at those prices!

I just mounted a couple brackets in my garage so the CR3s have a somewhat permanent home out there. We don't get the brutal long freezes in the south.

It's normally between $80 - $100. It's rechargeable, illuminated, has (nearly) full-sized keys for touch typing, and a multitouch touchpad. Of the many couch keyboards I've tried, this one is easily the best, and is a must-have accessory for HTPC. I can't say enough how much I enjoy using mine. The one that's on sale this evening is a newer version with Bluetooth connectivity in addition to the more traditional Logitech proprietary wireless.
