I wanted to quickly follow up and say I am extremely happy with the PreSonus Ceres C3.5BT powered blue tooth speakers! They are very accurate and do nothing to call attention to themselves. I wish there was an easy way to know how they compare to the Mackie CR3's. They have a lot in common.
In any case, I just wanted to chime in and let anyone who might be interested in the PreSonus (BT is probably the main feature that would sway some to go with PreSonus) that these are very nice sounding speakers. I set them up in my bonus room (larger than typical bedroom, smaller than living room) above 2 car garage and they fill it without indication of stress. That is not a near field situation!
Adding a Velodyne VMS-8 sub (crossed at 90Hz), there is nothing not to like. I though the 3.5" mid-woof would leave a gap in the upper bass, but the system is well balanced!

...and for the record, avoid the Audix PH-5vs. Very much a disappointment. Sound was fine at low levels, but easily stressed as volume went up, the controls are inconvenient (no on-off switch, volume on back). No extra features (like sub-out), and the cooling fins on the back are machined without taking the edges off the corners - handling requires great care and if they were to fall and land on a hardwood floor, the cooling fin corner would not dent, but slice into the wood (not to mention you).
Edit - I want to emphasize the cooling fin issue! I just ran my finger across (90 degrees to not along which would cut) the way you would feel a knife for sharpness. the edge on these fins catches the ridges of your fingerprint just like a sharp blade would. Even for pro audio, I am surprised Audix did not see fit to at least round or chamfer the outside edges or at least buff the edges the way HD does after cutting a key!
