I forgot to report last night. I found some stuff that I hadn't tried before when I was at Target getting some Dogfish Head 90 Minute. Here's what I had last night:

(*) Stone Pale Ale 2.0 - not bad, but not my favorite of theirs
(*) Lagunitas Czech Style Pilzner (partial bottle) - decent, but I wanted to move on before finishing the bottle (well, glass, as I'd poured it)
(*) New Belgium White IPA (even less) - seemed good, but it was weak compared to the others. I'll have to try it first sometime
(*) Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA - went back to the surefire winner when my brother contacted me to play video games

Friday tried Equinox IPA from a local place. Not bad.

They actually had a Lagunitas booth at the Bay to Breakers Expo and a beer garden at the finish line... (no I didn't feel like a beer afterwards).

Got a pic with Tommy The Pink Gorilla at the Lagunitas booth

A great Portuguese wine. Doural, red tinto. Fruit forward with cherries and dark berries. A nice touch of spice with dry finish. Unless I really enjoy it, I typically drink by season. Reds in the winter and whites in warmer weather. This is a perfect summer red.

A very well balanced Red blend; Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, and Tinto Cao

Highly recommend.

$7.99 in my area.

Mountain Dew Dewshine. I had never heard of it, but I saw it at the grocery store this morning. It's made with real sugar and is clear, and while I don't generally drink sugary sodas, I thought it would be a clear version of Mountain Dew and was intrigued. Not so much. Tastes kind of like Sprite to me. Not bad, but not what I was expecting.

Since the rest of you are busy attending AA meetings, I'll keep this thread afloat.
Today I bring you a Syrah, aka Shiraz, from, of all places, Morocco. Yes, a Moroccan Syrah.
This is a light to medium body, fruit forward Syrah that makes for a great summer red. I suggest serving slightly chilled, (not cold), maybe about 55-60 degrees. 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator, or cellar temp. before serving.
Delicious!

Highly recommended!

Sryocco Syrah. Vintage 2011.
