Thanks, and that's pretty cool. The high school I work at these days, being a technical high school and all, has a machining tech area and some of the seniors make those as their senior project. I was down in the machine shop the other day and the teacher was showing me a bunch of their cool toys. He also told me that if I ever needed something I could come down and and get it made. He also said he would teach me how to machine stuff.

Sooooo, custom binding posts? Custom open baffle speakers a la Kryon Audio?

Now I feel bad, as I was also not at work (shocking, I know :D)...but wasn't reading the forum.

Here's what I did instead. Sorry, Fuzz...another "wrong thread" entry. Kudos on all the gear, as always!

Btw, this little $40 gadget is eff to the ing fantastic. It's just one of several options for these things, but happens to be the one that I got a chance to try out. Skip to around 2:25 to avoid my blathering and just see it cranking. (The original video is 480 if you want to adjust the settings.)

It never ends with you ... does it?

Get some help. :D

Pretty cool idea about baffles. Where you at with those Nao Notes?

Pretty much the same place I was before. The big issue I'm running into is the side panels. They're large and have this gentle slope to them. I could always build them without the side panels and just build the woofer boxes and attach/brace the top panels to them and work in the side panels at a later date.

More or less they're just a pain in my a$$ that continues to hang over my head since I have no wood working tools or space.

Stirling engines are slick! It takes incredibly tight tolerances to get those things to work correctly (or at all).

My dad built one from scratch a few years ago. Runs like a champ!

You could always take it to Dennis to find out what he could do with it :D
Maybe after I get done with these bad boys

Although I could be mistaken.......I don't think I'm Jim Salk. :D

The Satori woofers also look pretty awesome.

It's for network connecting the PJ so that it can be controlled with network commands via whole home control or other network controls.

So I've been trying to plan out what's going where for the new place since that's creeping up on me.

Living Room/Dining Room
SVS Ultra Bookshelves (zone 2 in dining room)
Phil 3's
JW Center
E41-B's
RC4a
PA 18" Sub
Marantz 7008
Sony S6200
Samsung F5400
Adcom 7807
Perreaux 600B

Basement
Source Tech. Triline
Jeff B. Mandolin
Source Tech. Custom Rear Surrounds
Source Tech. 82554
LMS Ultra X2
D.O. UXL 18"
Marantz 8801
Oppo 103D
Cinepro 3K6SE
Cinepro 600
Peavey IPR2 5000
Crest Pro Lite 5.0
Samsung E8000
JVC X55
Elite Screens Cinetension2 92"

Basement/Office
Jeff B. Testarossa
B&K Reference
Threshold S/300e
Aragon 8008x3

Looks like two 7 channel systems (one 7.1 the other 7.3), a 2.0, and another 2.0 when I finish the Testarossas. I may build another Baby Boomer sub and turn the SVS Ultra's into a quasi-3-way, but that's definitely not high on the priority list. It probably won't be until next fall/winter, but I plan on replacing the Mandolins in the basement with some proper side surrounds from John over at Source Tech. If it ever materializes, I may also get in on an FTW-21 group buy. However, putting these two setups together and finishing the Testarossa's should keep me busy for awhile.
