What about their sound caused it to take so long?
They seemed bright in the beginning but I came to realize that they were so revealing that they were exposing the badly recorded material. I was used to exaggerated bass from other speakers I owned before (even the Dynaudio Contour I had before the Vera had the problem) so listening to the Veras made me realize how the tighter and more accurate bass they produced was so much better than what I had before. Just a very neutral speaker. Well recorded material sounds superb with these speakers. Plus they still sound very clear even when I really crank them when I am home alone. They seem to like power :D

They certainly are revealing speakers. They bass is also very good for the size. In a small room, I think I'd be happy without a sub. They are a very good speaker from top to bottom - great build quality, nice looks, and excellent sound. The only thing that can't be guaranteed is that they'll match the decor of your listening space (yes, I'm still fighting that battle!) :)

I use to switch some of my speakers around - however since I set the Vera-05 up, 2 of my
favorite speakers stay on the side line - the Boston VS260 and Snell K7, and they both have
high level good resolution sound - however, the Vera is more realistic and natural sounding.

Wife and I always value function over form so we don't have the matching decor problem :D

I think I'm going to change my stance on the grills. They do reduce the tweeter a bit, which is actually working to my advantage in this set up. These speakers have excellent dynamics too.

I think I have to sell these wonderful speakers (yes, I lost the battle I was fighting) :(
If I keep them, they'll lay around unused for the most part and that's not a good option either.
I even created an ebay listing but couldn't bring myself to post.

As the Audio and WAF Worlds Turn! :)

However, somebody will buy them.

Yes, I will post on AH Classifieds as well. I'm still working on convincing myself that it's better for them to be somewhere else where they will be used rather than in my garage. I also have a pair of Revel M20s that I'm going through the same convincing with. Tough decisions. To be honest, this isn't a 100% WAF related decision. That is, I do see and appreciate the point that Veras and M20s don't work with our decor. Since I have excellent alternatives that do work with the decor, it's the only logical decision to make. And yet...

I think the going price is $1000. At that price my separation anxiety won't be too bad :)
That is how to handle it - leave the price at $1000 firm. Then give them some exercise (play them).

Hmmm...that's actually a great idea! I do feel better all of a sudden :)
They're definitely worth at least that much.

You need to stop buying bluray discs and save the money to buy the Veras. :D
