Really Boring Stuff Only III: Resurrection

Looking through eBay and CL for tools for sale that could be picked up locally made me realize that people in my general vicinity are either selling junk or they think they're a freakin' Snap-On truck. I guess I'll look at the electronics that are up for sale but I don't really need anything ... yet I have a burning desire for something new. Somebody should invent a torque wrench with built in speakers.

I was looking for a job site radio solution and after considering the new crop of small form factor battery jobs I decided that my Sony clock radio was not going to make the next set of cuts in the 'Are you good enough to occupy real estate on my night stand' try outs. I be needin' me some jams at work, yo. If the mp3 thing would get here maybe I could do something with that. I have a bit of techno fear going on but how hard could it be, right?

Even though I've had too much coffee already I feel like I could use some more.

Does anybody here drink beer in the morning? :D
I have been using the Makita for 3 years now. Tough little bugger- been dropped, kicked , rained on.. Still chugging along.
main reason I bought was I already had a bunch Makita li- on stuff so battery operation was just a matter of popping one in. I wish it had a regular wall cord rather than a wart- my only gripe though.
Cheers, Mac

Milwaukee also makes a smaller one that's very good too.
As I resist the urge to type anything more...
The smaller version that takes the small lithium ion batteries isn't bad. I heard one and considered the very similar Bosh because I own a tool that takes the same battery. However my otherwise completely useless Sony clock radio is already paid for and sucking up space on my night stand. That ends now. :D

Everything is so calm at work after my first 2 months of insanity it seems surreal.

The kid got a 95 on his driving test today and got his license finally. That would have been beer worthy had he not gotten into a fender bender over the weekend... >sigh<

Holy crap ATT wireless support is useless!!!!
Always go to the store never do it on the phone. If you do use the phone only do so during normal business hours. Remember to always be nice and ignorant on the phone. I don't understand why I was billed for this is better than you jerk billed me for this. That said it's still better to go to the store in my experience. If all else fails get a friend to do it. My wife sucks at calling ATT I always get deals.

I'm off to see a knee specialist and can only hope he doesn't send me to Africa.
I heard that's where the knee grows. :D

I normally do, but it's a bit icy around here and I wanted to get it done. The problem is that on the website (terrible) they say the process I was trying to do was all on line...it's not. They haven't updated the site to reflect that the process has to go through a "special" team. Sadly the store would have had to call them too and this time of year there is an hour wait at the store. That is just as frustrating. Not really a good way to do it. I did get some fees waived.

I'll bet you intentionally hurt your knee, just to use that one.:D
With all the time off seeing doctors it's getting better on it's own but I got an MRI coming. That's all I wanted to begin with.

What happened? Rick wouldn't let you wear your knee pads in his bed?
He gave 'em to Doug and said they were elbow pads. Doug's still pissed.

Christmas tree lights are all up - I just want to get an extension cord so that I can plug them into an outlet controlled by a wall switch. I'm plugging/unplugging them manually for now.

I started putting on ornaments, but I wasn't in the zone. I only got six put on so far - pathetic, I know. Hopefully more tomorrow.

Got to sit in court for most of the morning. On the upside, that means a day off from work. On the downside, it's not quite as exciting as TV makes it out to be. The guy I was a State's witness against didn't show in any case (big shock since he resides in Florida).
