Cool! I've been on that bike, might I suggest a Mustang® saddle for distance rides?

As for the suit: right now I'm taking daily pictures of the bruises, wounds, and swelling. I'm going to all my docotor follow-ups as scheduled with the hopes of a full recovery and no permenant limp. The lawyers actually have a mathematical formula for pain & suffering and the typical compensation for such things. Thats really kinda morbid if you think about it.

Anyway, I know it'll take months & months to get a settlment (probably a year minimum). In the meantime my wife has to talk me out of buying a new bike next year. And I really like the look of those Moto-Guzzi sport tourers.

Are you talking about the Griso -(I think thats what it is called??)
This one - - (click below)

(EDIT) oh yeah, the bike got here.

It is by no means the biggest bike I've owned..
That would be the V65 Sabre 1100 - it was a monster (very similar to the V-Max at 145hp for a semi-cruiser type bike)

Oh, BTW - sorry Ninja. As I have hijacked the thread - but have kept my comments on bikes....

Here is the bike - but sorry, I had it delivered - due to, it was raining today..
So, I have not bought a cover for it yet. (and just had a shower curtain. )

I will by all means have better pics by tomorrow.

(is that the style you like - the Moto Guzzi?)
Personally I like street bikes more - but with my injuries I am limited to only cruisers...
Also do you have a link for those mustang saddle bags???

Rode the Vulcan for about 5 minutes around my block in the rain - man it drives like you are on a cloud of air.
Belt drive, fuel injection is smooooth.

Anyhow here is the crappy pic (will post a better one later)

    Default Rider

From a fellow rider: Been in love with bikes for a few decades myself, owned many, had (loads) of close calls with folks who simply don't appear to see bikes...

I'm getting 'up there' and am considering safety aspects of the sport / hobby: I think that the next bike will have ABS. Have any of you had experience with ABS and perhaps might be able to share stories (PM if necessary to avoid pissing off the original poster for hi-jacking his thread) about the pros or cons of the ABS system on bikes?

That was a nasty thing to do: posting an image of a beautiful bike... covered up!

Mustnag makes motorcycle saddles. While the 900 is brand-new this year it is based on the Vulcan 800 Classic. A bike well known for its ability to cause saddlesores after 20 minutes. The easiest fix is to buy a new saddle. Mustang and Corbin are probably your best bets.

If you want saddlebags, you can't go wrong with Willie & Max.

As for Moto-Guzzi, Theres only 1 model I lust for. The rest are certainly OK but I don't think they are anything special. I donb't even ride sportbikes (a shade over 250 ensues I'm wider than most crotch-rockets are tall.), but I just love the Nero Corsa.
And I just learned they no longer make it (limited 2006 model), but the Moto-Guzzi V11 LeMans Nero Corsa is certainly one of two I'm considering, depending on the outcome of my lawsuit.

Last I checked BMW models and the Honda Goldwing were the only bikes to offer linked ABS braking. I don't have any experience with either.

Yeah, most people here know that I will flood the forum with pics....
It was just what I could do (while it was raining).

And even these new pics are terrible, as it is a pain to get on and off the back porch.
And with no room on the porch for correct framing of the pic.
(this is the best I can do for now)

Also, I have not rode a ABS bike. But there are tons of them. Not just the BMW and Goldwing...
Just about every manufacture has at least one ABS bike.
Just depends on what you want and how much $...
The FJR is ABS, the Interceptor has a ABS version, Ducati has a ABS (actually a few I think), as mentioned BMW & the Goldwing, also Triumph has a ABS bike... Etc........
Just depends if you want a cruiser, sport cruiser, sport, etc..

R&R Ninja, thanks for the links - Oops that's what I meant saddle (not so much bags)(yeah, I had already checked out Corbin (as well went to Vance & Hines, Cobra, etc..)
Granted the seat I am happy with - I do need to pick up some bags for a day out (change of clothes & rainsuit)

anyhow, here are a few more pics... (until I get it back out of the porch - then I can do 1 or 2 better pics & next to the Harley.)

That's enough for now - although I have more... (none are any good - since I can't frame it well - on the porch)

Brian - nice bike. I love the tail light/turn signal placement. I'm also a fan of the speedo on the tank.

    Default Get well soon!

    Hey 'Ninja,
I mostly lurk around here but wanted to jump in and wish you a speedy recovery. My RD 400 and I met up w/a utility pole in '81 and I can no longer ride as a result. I still love following the sport & hate to hear when someone takes a spill esp. when it's from someone pulling an assinine move like that. Hope ya feel better and enjoy the opiates :-)
