Would you consider using the Dayton Audio APA150 150W Power Amplifier 300-812 for this application? In my situation I have six volume controls for 10 speakers(two controls run l/r stereo speakers) and at most would only have 4 zones running at once.

The only thing that I disagree with in the OP's original post is we shouldn't pick on teenagers. I see many adults texting and driving. While I don't advocate any text and drive, the teen's are probably the one's that could do it best as adults tend to not be as savvy.
