This is frustrating...I hooked the cable directly to the Plasma and it worked fine. That means that it must be a receiver issue. I guess I need to keep pluggin away. thanks and any suggestions on how to turn on the HDMI output on the receiver is appreciated.

I just ordered my Pioneer Elite 1130HD for $5,100. It ships mid month and I can't wait. I love the pioneer picture compared to the Panny, Lg, etc..especially in brighter rooms (for Plasma)

I'm in the same boat. But I thought the yamaha 4600 is more compareable to the Pioneer VSX-74TXVI than the 2600 will be? At this point, we're almost better off waiting for the Denon 3806. BTW, does anyone know when the 2600 will be released?

Thanks guys You've been very helpful. And the reason I'm putting speakers in the bathroom is very simple..It was an easy way to get wife to agree to wire the upstairs. If I put speakers in the rooms I want, she'll be able to listen to her crap in the bathroom as she gets ready.
