I'm in the market for a new receiver and I need help. I mostly watch TV/movies and need it for home theater. I have a pretty decent set up...50 inch Pioneer elite Plasma, Tivo Series 3 HD, Def Tech studio monitor speakers (five speakers plus sub), and Oppo DVD player ...but my receiver stinks..old Pioneer which doesn't work with HDMI. Can someone please recommend a great receiver for under $1,500 (preferably under $1,000). I also need an upgrade on the DVD player..but that's a different forum...thanks in advance!
