Love the minimum decor and clean look.

For all of you who shamed me with my ugly rear speaker wire, and those who were kind enough to hold your tongue LOL, I re-did the rears.

I hung my smaller Realistic Minimus-7 micro-monitor speakers under the counter so they draw less attention....and the ugly speaker wire is less noticeable too. They sound very good because of the soft dome tweeter, and I put the JBL Control One studio mini-monitors in the computer room.

This is still temporary but they look better. Here is another pix.

Yes we like two styles minimalist modern and rustic americana. We intend to carefully combine the two, starting with a rough-hewn timber and vintage irons for the fireplace mantel.

Don't let that minimalist inclination hold you back from putting up some treatments on the left corner and front wall .

Sorry. That will never do esthetically, even the designer panels.

That's true, but you're definitely going to see improvement if you add some. It's your choice.

If I had a dedicated audio room then it would be a consideration, but not in our main living space. I can think of other upgrades first...sub, bluray player, etc.

Ditto on the nice, clean , contemporary look. My personal favorite design.

I would like to see a better center channel placement solution but I understand that you have to do what you have to do. It is never easy.

Thanks for taking time to share your space with us. I hope you truly enjoy your new townhome and the AV system.

I suppose ideally placing the cc on a speaker stand in front of the rack is best, but that would look quite out of place in anything but in a dedicated A/V room, an even then... The only other option in our space in on top of the rack w/ the tv on top of it. I like the current scenario best and it images quite well set at the leading edge of the rack. What you say?
