Yamaha RX-A2A question

Hi all,

I just acquired this AVR and have seen a few videos where my Windows PC can be used as a remote GUI for making settings. Gene did a video of this but I haven't the foggiest idea how to set this up. My PC resides in the same room as my home theater. Has anyone done this for their A2A? Thanks.

Once the A2A is connected to your network, type its address into a web browser as 192.168.xx.xxx/Setup/ to bring up the network settings.

Thanks, Trebdp83. I assume that I use the onboard menu in the AVR under Network settings to connect the Yamaha to my home network? It will work through Wi-Fi?

Right you are. I have an Android. I'm loving this interface on my PC. So much easier than switching the Source on my Samsung 75" TV, opening the Yamaha Options menu, making the adjustments, switching the Source back to the TV, and seeing if my changes made a difference. With this interface, you hear the changes in real time. Very slick!

The Yamaha Web setup is very snappy and so much better than using the onscreen menus.

Agreed. To be honest, when I first saw it on YT, I tried to install it (hence why I'm here) and thought it was only for the upper line models. But you proved me wrong. Very helpful...thanks again!
