Or are you guys saying it's all in my head and I should return it and save up to go dual subs instead of waiting till I pay the amp off, which would only take 10 months to pay off.
I don't see anyone saying that, but if you ask them to guess, some will guess yes and some will guess no.
As I suggested earlier, it is better to rely on verifiable specifications.
Below are links to bench measurements of both, Gene of Audioholics.com measured the Outlaw 5000, and Soundstage.com measured the Halo A23
Halo A23:

"Power output (stereo mode)
- Power output at 1% THD+N: 131.5W @ 8 ohms, 193.5W @ 4 ohms
- Power output at 10% THD+N: 160.0W @ 8 ohms, 227.5W @ 4 ohms"
Outlaw 5000:

"...
continuous sweep tests produced 170 watts/channel for 8 ohms, two channels driven and 230 watts/ch for 4 ohms, two channels driven under 0.1% THD+N."
Both reviewers used the AP analyzer, so while done in different labs, I would guess that they results should be comparable, and it would appear that the Outlaw, 170 W into 8 ohms, 2 channel driven, at 0.1% THD+N, is actually more powerful than the A23's 131 W at 1 % THD+N.
So unless the A23 sounds obviously better to you in a blind level match test, you could in fact save the money for subwoofers.
