Morning music friends. ☕

Horizon - Eddie Rabbit. Recorded in Colorado. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised later in New Jersey.
Wiki:
Horizon is the sixth studio album of country artist Eddie Rabbitt. It was released in 1980 under the Elektra Records label. The album produced two singles, both of which reached number one on country charts. The lead-off single "Drivin' My Life Away" reached number 5 on the Billboard 100 and 9 the Adult Contemporary chart. The other single, "I Love a Rainy Night" reached number one on all three charts, the only single in Rabbitt's career to ever do so. His career began as a songwriter in the late 1960s, springboarding to a recording career after composing hits such as "Kentucky Rain" for Elvis Presley in 1970 and "Pure Love" for Ronnie Milsap in 1974. One of my favorite pop country artist from the 80s. Talented as heck. I had some of his albums/CDs. This was a great cool Thrift find. Rest.

Afternoon Rock!
Smile - Sir Rod Stewart.
Wiki:
Smiler is the fifth studio album by English rock singer-songwriter Rod Stewart. It was released on 4 October 1974 by Mercury Records. It was his first album to be critically panned. It reached number 1 in the UK album chart, and number 13 in the US. The album was largely considered to be an unadventurous retread of what he had done before, including covers of Chuck Berry, Sam Cooke and Bob Dylan songs, as well as a duet with Elton John of John's song "Let Me Be Your Car". Stewart's one attempt at adventurousness was a cover of Carole King's "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" where 'Woman' is switched to 'Man'.:p This track was selected for special derision by critics. The release of the album itself was held up for five months due to legal problems between Mercury Records and Warner Bros. Records.
See credits on last pic. Thrift cool find.
The covers are well done IMHO. Vinyl is in very good condition A- sounds great!

Debut Self titled David Soul. Private stock records in 1976. David played acoustic guitar and co-wrote four songs on here. He did a cover of Bird on a wire by Leonard Cohen. David is primarily known as an actor on the TV show called Starsky and Hutch. His biggest hit is Don't give up on us baby, which is featured here. Recorded in San Francisco/LA, Ca. Engineering by Elliot Mazer and Smiggy. Taj Mahal and The Persuasions are featured. Cool Thrifty weird find. Good decent production. To me it seems he was a big Jim Croce/James Taylor and Country fan and it kinda shows.

Monday afternoon music!
Now I want to do some more record store shopping, the last tune on side 1 "Trav'lin' Light" was also performed by the late Billie Holliday when she sang with the Paul Whiteman orchestra.
I have on CD her "Complete Decca Recordings", that song is not in it.

Pat Suzuki - Broadway 59 RCA Victor in 1959.
Arranged and Conducted by George Siravo. Recorded in NYC! Got a lot of three of her LPs on ebay. I discovered her earlier this year after I found one of her albums at the thrift store. I really think she should be more known. What a talented lady and should be up there with many female singers of the time.
