Sinatra at the sands - Frank Sinatra with Count basie & the orchestra. Reprise records in 1966. Arranged and conducted by Quincy Jones. Minty A- condition. Of course a fantastic show. Not sure why it was released in Mono though. Wiki:
It was Sinatra's first live album to be commercially released, and contains many definitive readings of the songs that are most readily associated with Sinatra.
Sinatra and Basie had previously collaborated on 1962's Sinatra-Basie and 1964's It Might As Well Be Swing, with both albums released on Sinatra's Reprise label. The album was remixed and remastered and released in DVD-Audio in high-resolution stereo and multi-channel surround in 2003. An alternate version of the same show with a slightly different track list was released in November 2006 as part of the box set Sinatra: Vegas. The album is certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Good day music pals! :p
Bloodshot - J. Geils Band. 1973 Atlantic Records. Most tracks written by Peter Wolf & Seth Justman. Recorded in NYC at Hit factory. Wiki: It was the breakthrough release for the band, reaching #10 on the Billboard 200 album chart in the United States, a peak that the band would not surpass until their 1981 multi-platinum album Freeze Frame. The single version of "Give it to Me", which had a very different ending from the album version, reached #30 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and #15 on the Cash Box Top 100. Fun record.

Some phrasing goodness.
Strangers in the night - Frank Sinatra. Reprise records in 1966. Wiki:
Strangers in the Night is a 1966 studio album by Frank Sinatra. It marked Sinatra's return to number one on the pop album charts in the mid-1960s, and consolidated the comeback he initiated in 1965. Combining pop hits with show tunes and standards, the album bridges classic jazz-oriented big band with contemporary pop. The single "Strangers in the Night" reached number one on the pop single charts, while "Summer Wind" has become one of Sinatra best-known songs, making numerous film and television appearances in the years since its release. There is also a cover of Downtown (Petula Clark). Thrift find along with like 10 other Sinatra albums. Decent B- condition. Lucky haul indeed. A classic.

Whoa Thrift goodness.

Greatest hits - Neil Sedaka. MCA records in 1977. All the 70s hits. Laughter in the rain and Breaking up in hard to do(Slow version) were my jams when I heard them on the oldies radio stations in the 80s. Light scratches, but in B+ condition. He's from Brooklyn, NY where I grew up.

Thrift about two weeks ago. I've never heard of her before, but dug the album cover. She was a Bing Crosby discovery and that made it more of a instant buy.

Pat Suzuki with Henry Rene and his orchestra. Her debut on Vik/RCA records in 1958. Recorded at Webster Hall(Saw Tom Jones in concert there in the 90s.) in NYC. Read the back cover for more info. From listening to her her vocal range is huge and is well controlled. If I were to say who she sounds like I'd say Lena Horne. I hope to find more by her. Anyone here got her recordings? She is 90 years old.

Read today he has died at age 73 , had wanted to listen to my only vinyl of his but the pressing is very bad quality (a couple pits here and there), so I'll try to find it on CD. Won't risk damage to my new Ortofon Bronze cartridge and needle!
