Good afternoon. Mingus at Antibes Atlantic Records Released in 1976. Recorded on July 13 1960. Lucky Thrift find, although no album art and only 1 disc and no 2 disc. :( I guess someone already had disc 2 and left the first one. Regardless sounds clear with very few pops. B+ condition.

Judy Garland - Judy. Capital records. Released Oct 10, 1956. Lucky Thrift find. Info below is from a website called the Judy room:
Judy's second album for Capitol was again released in conjunction with a TV special. This time, it was Judy's second TV Special shown live on April 8, 1956 on CBS-TV's "The General Electric Teather". The show ran for 30 minutes and all the songs Judy sang on this special are prepresented on this album. "Judy" peaked at #17 on Billboard's Best Selling Pop Albums chart and was in Top 40 for five weeks.

The 1989 premiere CD release contains a bonus track of "I'm Old Fashioned" recorded on 03-26-1956 was not included in the original album release until the 1989 Captiol CD release.
Arranged and conducted by Nelson Riddle. B+ condition. No scratches at all. Minty. Sounds great and Come rain or come shine sounds different than the Sinatra version. I like it. Her voice is fantastic on this LP.

The V. I. P. Soundtrack featuring music by Miklos Rozsa. MCA records. 1986 vinyl (((promotional))) release. Thrift find. I only got this cause I like the great cover picture of Liz and Richard. I never saw the movie and will now seek it out. This is classical music only and sounds great. Film was released in 1963 and did well at the box office and got mix reviews. B- Clean copy but pops here and there. Wanna frame this.

Mellisa Manchester - Home to myself. Bell Records and released in 1973. All Song written by Mellisa Manchester and Carole Bayer Sayer. One of four LPS I found at the thrift store! B+ condition maybe it will grow on me, but it's just OK. I think the back cover is better than the front. Don't know much about her. She had a big hit "Don't cry out loud" in the 80s and then disappeared. Always liked her voice. She has a great range and she was cute as heck.

Cat Steven's - Numbers. A&M records. 1975 release. Featuring Brenda Russell, Art Garfunkel and David Sanborn on sax. B++ condition. Plays good a couple of nicks, but sounds great and with a nice Soundstage. Top notch recording. If you listen closely he sounds a bit like Freddie Fender. Talented guy he also did the album artwork. Later ladies and gents till next time...

Elis Regina - Vento de Maio. EMI Records. Released in 1978. Two songs written by Gilberto Gil. Lucky as heck Thrift find. Condition NEW A-. One of my favorite Brazilian Jazz artists. I could not believe this was new. I had a couple of her CDs that were well I don't have anymore. I looked on ebay last year and they were expensive, so this is gold to me. I'm also a fan of her daughter Maria Rita who has a very similar style to her mom. This album sounds amazing of course. The cover art is beautiful IMO.

Peggy was friends of the family of one of my high school buddies, but have only checked out a few of her recordings. Good stuff from what I've listened to but it's been a while, think I'll revisit....

Anne Murray & Glen Campbell. Capital records. Released in Nov 1971. Shocked at this one I never knew about this album till I saw it at my Thrift store. Their voices blend together divinely. Terrific arrangements by Rick Wilton/Marty Piach. Their first and last album together. Murray was featured many times on Glen's TV show. It charted in Canada and reached top 12. No romance between them.
