Edge of tomorrow lol. Idk the svs didn't hit like I expected, I still preferred my paradigm reference studio sub 12, but unfortunately that sub it's on its last legs, keeps shutting off during heavy bass scenes now
The beginning of Edge of Tomorrow uses a 10Hz full-scale square wave tone that would make any ported sub chuff if driven at high enough levels. The PB16-Ultra is positioned to handle a sound like that better than the FV18 an account of the PB16-Ultra's strict limiters. If you are getting the FV18 to handle the beginning of Edge of Tomorrow better, sorry but it's likely to do worse. The only ported subs that could handle that sound without running into chuffing easily is the ported Captivators from JTR which are actually tuned to 10 Hz.

Buying a sub for the little available infrasonic stuff at useful let alone impressive levels is an expensive chase, too.

Just curious if anyone else has given there subs a workout listening to the scene at the end of The Last Airbender when the kid raises a huge wall of water to stop the Firebenders? It’s one of my favorite sub test scenes.

I would apologize for ruining this movie but it’s not really the kind of movie that’s capable of being ruined.

My subs don't consider that a particular workout? :)

This subject seems really familiar...

I think you have setup issues. Switching to sealed is very unlikely to help. If anything you're going to get less deep bass with a sealed sub.

I'm torn on what dual subs to get next. HSU VTF-15H mk2, the SVS SB 4000, rythmik F18, or the PSA S1512. I keep leaning toward the HSU for the price and the volume it puts out. Would I be making a good choice? Or would one of the others make a better choice and why?
Check out Genes Sub thread in Forum Lots of useful info!
