Well fellas, got some good news Tuesday, Andrew sent me my FedEx tracking number, Friday my RBH 85i's will be in home! I'll postup my thoughts and a few photos of course..My youngest Son got his RBH Signature 12" Sub in alone with his RBH A5 surround speakers..I fully understand now why Peeps spend 1k or more on a high-end sub. Went over to his home to do a sit down. Wow! Huge difference!

Thanks! I didn't realize when I stated " had a sit down" with my Son's new RBH 12" signature sub, posting up that photo of his sub in his recliner. Lol, I get why that would be considered funny, sit down..sub sitting in his recliner. Lol. He had sent me that photo right after he took it out of the box.

This is my 2nd post ever on this forum but I saw this section and thought it would be fitting to include the new "Stuff" that I bought last week.
A big factor in the purchase was because of the reviews on this forum and the Audioholics YouTube channel.

The Perlisten S7Ts are my new and endgame speakers.

I'm out of my depth with most of the company on this forum so I'll share a few things now and then, but I'm mostly here to learn or ask a question or two if I need help with something.

I'm a fortunate person to have what I have. The last part of the system is just trading in my current aging amps for the same but latest model.

The speakers are the difference maker here it appears and I absolutely love them!

Well fellas, they came in today! Shout out to @gene and @shadyJ Those Dudes are spot on! These RBH 85i's with the matching center channel do Not disappoint!

I did watch the full video on Genes YouTube channel with Shady J and RBH's engineer. I won't go into a review because, Gene, Shady J in that YouTube video stated everything that anyone would need to know of these 3rd generation Impression series speakers.

I can't say enough about the high quality that RBH is known for. Not one scratch or defect found. Can still smell the paint job on these. Boxing up by RBH was impeccable! Very detailed sound, Shady J stated the low-end was very good, imaging sound stage very nice, spot on with his assessment. I will state they are very clean detailed sounding speakers. I did notice this lil RBH sticker on the back of each tower, I thought was a nice touch. And of course engineered and assembled in the USA sticker.

The Minnesota Vikings have a few prime time games on Sundays this season and I won't be able to see them live, so I bought a Tablo. I heard about it from @Trebdp83 . Anyway, it's a pretty cool device. You connect your air antenna directly into it, then you watch live TV or recorded TV via the app, which in my case will be on the Firestick. https://www.tablotv.com/product/

Huepar 360 degree laser level. I opted to spend little more to get the storage case and tripod. Pretty happy with its function so far. The bracket has magnets or can be mounted to a wall or to the tripod. Brightness is more than sufficient for indoor use and it projected clearly in my office over 100 feet in length. I thought the tripod might be cheap junk but it is better than anticipated. It is heavy duty plastic and feels well constructed. I looked at Dewalt but people complained on-line about failures. Huepar seems to be one of the bigger suppliers and ratings were pretty positive.

I have a similar model. It is the most awesome thing!!! I hardly need to use it, but it paid for itself with the first use.

Yes, won't use it a ton but for the basement room I am renovating it's well worth the expense as the floor needs leveling and it helps with framing too. I like that it auto-levels but also can be locked manually so that you can set any angle. I have friends that swear by them.

I had to hang lighting on a cathedral ceiling. That laser was my savior.

Then just the other day, I was installing some curtains and I remembered I have that... out it came and the curtain rods on all walls are perfect.

Box on the Huepar says 5 year warranty. Dewalt is typically 3 years. The Huepar also has the locking mechanism which locks the sensitive auto-level feature when in transport or for manual mode. Not all levels have that feature but one I recommend for longevity.

This is a non-audio related hobby, but that doesn't prevent me from getting new "stuff".

A handy portable air compressor for airing up the tires after airing down for off-roading or for any time you need air.

We actually get out a few times a year and enjoy the great outdoors.

This is another cool little gadget we have in the event we need it.

Unlike some of the audio purchases I've made recently, this gear is reasonably priced.

Does underinflating really help with off-roading? I would think that the lower tire pressure might widen the contact patch under the tire but the extra stress on the sidewalls would be bad for the tire.

It helps a lot. Not only does it widen the contact patch it allows the tire to wrap around obstacles.
You can drop the pressure very low to an extent and some of the hardest core off roaders will use beed lock wheels to keep the tires locked on the rims.

I'm not that hardcore but the pressure decrease is a huge benefit for ride comfort, grip/traction.

You'll see a lot of airing down with almost all off road vehicles that hit the rocks and harder trails.

It also works pretty well on ice and snow.

This is a typical off roading "hobby" trick.

Isn't it interesting that the more you get into something, the more gadgets and mods you want or need?

I thought I had a better picture but these are still inflated pretty high.

It would also help if I took the picture on the driver's side where the tire was actually up on a rock.

Slightly deflated tire has more grip in loose conditions.

I had considered a 4 way that lets you inflate all 4 at the same time, but quickly decided the one we have is better. At least when I made the decision the 4 way inflators would not do a single tire without issue.

We use DeWalts and a similar feature set costs north of $500 but we only figure they're +/- 1/8" accurate for about 30 feet. Unless something has changed drastically in the last couple of years.
