I sure did! I've eyeballing the 4300 for a while now, waiting for it to drop to $800 or so. When @panteragstk made me aware the SR6011 had almost everything I was looking for, close to my budget. I pulled the trigger.

Sure. That invitation extends out to a few people here I wouldn't mind swinging by to check out my system. That's half the fun, having folks enjoy it who appreciate it. I'm sure I could get some ideas for tweaks and placement from some of you guys too.

I've got an alert set up on the 4300 for whenever it goes <$900. Current AVR will do until then, although my son regularly asks if I've replaced it yet because he knows he'll get this one.

As for sharing the experience, it's something not everyone understands. I've tried to explain things with a couple houseguests and I usually get a glazed look. They're usually at the, "sounds really good" level of understanding. It's OK, though - I'm having fun.

Got my check from SquareTrade for my Tascam receiver -- went to Best Buy earlier and bought the Yamaha 581 receiver on closeout for $275. So far it is nice -- I have 15 days to see if I want to keep it -- now I have to decide what I want to do with the 465 that I bought off craiglist.

Just bought a Dell 15.6" I7579 Laptop for my wife.

It's very nice looking - aluminum body like the MacBook & Zenbook.

It's pretty speedy and seems to work very well. She is 100% happy with it.

We use the 5510 here at work which uses a very similar aluminum body. I've been pretty happy with it for the last 6-7 months.

I was impressed.

A few weeks ago, I bought a Zenbook (also bought Brand New), and I had to return it because it seemed so slow and buggy.

But this Dell-7579 is very fast and seemed to do everything well so far.

I'm glad I bought the Dell-7579 this weekend when it was on sale for $200 off. I just checked today and the price is up to $800 again.

I found me a 2nd Yamaha 800KXU cassette deck for a decent price so I picked it up. Now I have a deck for both systems. I cleaned it up, cleaned teh capstans and heads wich were dirty and did a side by side comparison with the other KX800 and the pitch and output levels were identical.

Great choice! I am using the Diamond 220's for my desktop setup and the Denton 80th anniversary bookshelves for my main setup. Still have a set of B&W CM1 S1's to use in my main setup as well. That is, if I find/make the room. Working on that as we speak.

I have a Denon X3300 to power my Dentons/B&W CM1's and a Cambridge SR20 stereo receiver to power the 220's. Thus, the 220's will be placed close to the rear wall. That is the main reason I went with them instead of the 10.1's which are rear firing. Congrats on your new toys! Hope to see some pics!

Thanks Phill, sounds like you have your ducks in a row.

This is just a temporary setup as I'll eventually move the Yamaha receiver into my smaller second floor living room along with the sub when I get a new tv and figure out a speaker setup for the space.

I'd actually been contemplating the Cambridge SR20 to run the 10.2's in the BR as it will only ever be a 2.1 setup in that space, although I'm leaning more towards the Cambridge CXA-60 integrated as I can do without the am/fm bits in the SR20, but not decided 100% yet.

I hadn't bought a new A/V receiver in a pretty long time and wasn't looking to spend a fortune so this discontinued Yamaha fits the bill for the moment.
My other A/V units are all slightly older stuff.
Sherwood RV-6030R, Onkyo M501, P301, T404, DV-S501 separates and an Onkyo TX-DS747 A/V receiver.

Next up is likely a Cambridge SR20 or integrated amp and an SVS subwoofer to replace the VRP-10.

Actually, everything is not fully setup just yet. Working on it little by little. I do know that the SR20 sounds fantastic with both the CM1 S1's and the Dentons. Have no doubt it will sound just as good with the 220's. Either way you would be fine going with the SR20 and/or the CXA-60. Keep us all posted and pics are always helpful..........LOL!!!!

Thanks, I know how it goes with the works in progress.
I'm sure either unit would be more than satisfactory for my simple needs, I'll keep the options open and make that decision when the time comes.
At the moment I'm enjoying this 2.1 setup, so there's really no rush on the new stereo unit. More time for research and saving audio funds I suppose.

Just recently bought me a Lenovo tablet. But, I needed a case. Found one on Ebay for cheap. However, it took several weeks to arrive b/c it came out of China. It fits like a charm and is made specifically for my Lenovo tablet. Have it on charge right now as battery was only 54%. Here are a couple of pics:

Plan to download the new Denon Editor App very soon. Hope to have my new Denon X3300W set up tomorrow. Taking a rest today as I am spent. The case is certainly worth the wait!
