My cocktail consists of whiskey (bourbon), bitters, a bit of simple syrup, ice. I like an Old Fashioned.

LOL I think I tried an old fashioned. I keep margarita ingredients on hand, and the good ol' dude drink white russian....but don't have either one very often.

a good friends mother was an 'rob roy' drinker, one before dinner every night, she drank her last one at age 97, God bless her !

Speaking of an Old Fashioned, remember the movie "It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World? Jim Backus in the airplane, drunk and making an Old Fashioned just the way 'dear old Dad' made it!

To me incomprehensible somewhat now at least.....but I was largely indifferent towards beer until a friend who got "into" brewing and tasting his stuff as well as he encouraged me to attend some homebrewer festivals changed my perspective (and I loved the new discoveries).
