I received the Logitech x-230 2.1 system for my laptop and Bic Acoustech HT-65 center channel. Also scored Porcupine Tree's Deadwing DVD-A, Fantastic 4 and Star Wars - Clone Wars, Vol. 2.

.....but the best was the ham at dinner that we got from the Honey Baked Ham Company!!:D

Well I finally went ahead and got a new sub (SVS PB-10) to replace my old KLH 10" sub. I can't wait to get her installed and integrated with the rest of my equipment.

Then my choice will be what will be the first movie I'll watch on it. Right now the contestants are:

WOTW:2005
Master and Commander
LOTR:FOTR
IMAX: Super Speedway
U-571

Decisions, decisions, decisions

I had to look up the PV1, looks very interesting! Let's here some feedback once you have hooked it up.

It's about time. I'm ashamed to say that I was a victim of "Bass is bass" mentality. It wasn't until one of my other KLHs went out and I actually started plotting room response did I realize how neglected the lower freq of my setup actually was. Until then I just stuck them in opposite corners, and figured that was the best place for them.

I've learned so much since joining this forum.

It won the EISA product of the year. It uses ICE power developed by Bang and Olufson and now usedd by Rotel in their digital amps.

The one I got is all black. I will post some reviews on it and pictures. Right now I am about to pull apart my whole system.

Santa, schmanta! Just a couple of days before Christmas I finally finished building my Linkwitz Orion speakers. Freakin' awesome. I'll have more to say about that later in another thread.

And from family and friends came music to enjoy on them: William Bolcom's Songs of Innocence and Experience (a three CD set of a late 20th century masterpiece), the "newly discovered" Thelonius Monk Quartet with John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall (1957), and a CD reissue of Dave Brubeck's Jazz Red Hot and Cool (1955 live recording).

And of course, massive caloric overload! Mmmmm....ham...homemade cookies...

I have a picture in the DIY forum (removed it from here to avoid double posting of image): http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16566

Those are beautiful. Did you build it from the ground up, or did you use pre-cut wood?

How do they sound?

A/V Gifts from santa....

I got a bunch of DVDs.
Kill Bill vol 1 + 2
Sahara
National Treasure
LOTR 12 DVD set

I demand the all my material be widescreen. If available, I also made sure I got the DTS audio option. Sometimes people don't know about this stuff and just purchase whatever they see first.

Cheers!

I picked up a 'family' gift of the Samsung 4232 - a 42" plasma for the bedroom.

Also got a Zektor component video/audio switcher which will finally let me hook up my 400 disc changer with everything else.

That's about it for A/V stuff - I still have half a dozen things I haven't hooked up since we moved in and a lot of work to do adding several touchpanels to our system.

I got Jason X and Freddy vs Jason, all I need is Jason Goes to H3LL and my Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street collections are done.

Since my JBL PB12 failed on me during my first viewing of WOTW (2005) so I purchased a Definitive ProSub100tl which I now sit here breaking in (about 10+ hours so far)

Nada, zip....nothing :'(

On the other hand I did receive the replacement amp for my ASW675 on the 24th via FedEx from B&W and the sub works perfectly. I also ordered a Denon DVD-3910...but as far as Santa goes, I guess I've been very bad this year ;)
