That's just Yamaha's new "Drunk a$$ speaker protection" circuitry. It really is quite a marvel. I'll bet that you didn't even know that it had a breathalyzer built in.

Seriously, though, man...you don't seem very happy with that thing. Maybe it's just that the volume display bothers you so now you're (subconsciously) looking for other things that bother you. Whatever the case, do you think that you'll be happy with this two months from now? On sale or not, it's still $1200. IMO, if you don't like it, it's a waste of $1200, not a savings of whatever is was. I know that you know that, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

There is something wrong there. The sub should not be getting a signal in Pure Direct.

Ok like this is the third thing now that you are unhappy with on this model. I don't see how this could be a setup issue.

I go with #2 as well. I know you like Yamaha but I think that a change might do you some good. When is your dealer supposed to get the 05's? Will he let you use this one until then? Although if you get any angrier it may not last that long.

Yes the cat is fine. Crazy big Maine Coon Cat. I'm glad it is used to the shot or this thing could cause some damage.
