Drudge doesn't have screen bounce... It just didn't load quickly at all.
Drudge report isn't a good overall gauge of browser performance because the site doesn't follow web standards and has terrible performance. Alexa lists them as 'Extremely Slow: 89% of sites are faster' (they take render times for multiple browsers running the Alexa plugin).
If Chrome and Firefox are faster, use those for Drudge. Maybe try Opera elsewhere. There also seem to be apps for Drudge report (although some of those have complaints of being slow also... likely because the site itself is slow rather than the app).

Have you considered using a feed reader instead of their website? They seem to have an RSS feed:

Then you don't have to use their crappy website.
