There's an old set of Jamos that look pretty similar too these dual 5.25" mids, 1" tweeter downfiring sub, similar looking cabinet

Polk, Fluance, I actually own a set of the XL7F along with a set of the AVHTB+ Would however like to own another set of these towers for some kickass surround (the speakers are in my opinion excellent)

Consumer reviews AND professional online reviews for sure. If the reviews suck, the speaker isn't worth getting, period.

The rest of the stuff (price/warranty/shipping cost) matter. Obviously anything beyond my means is not on the table. Also of importance: Return policy and customer service. But, most important is the speaker quality which can only be determined by reviews when you can't see the product first hand.

Oh - and a VERY good website with lots of photos will go a long way to helping me know if I want a product or not.

The most important to me are consumer reviews and price. Positive reviews suggest quality (bang for buck) which kills two birds with one stone.
