It is actually a combination of factors. One of the biggest is return policy. If it turns out I hate the speakers, then can I return them? If the return policy is a "buyer beware" then forget buying those speakers online. I will take a risk if I can send them back. So to consider online without previewing the speakers, must be able to send them back and get my money returned.
