OK, I did a search on my subject and got zero results, so I hope this hasn't been asked, but if it has, I'm sorry. I assume that the optimal viewing angle for movies is 0 degrees. So if I am sitting on my couch with my eyes 36" above the floor, I want my TV center at 36". Is there a recommended angle of viewing, or range to stay within for watching movies? I understand this is somewhat personal, as you can't ask everyone to tilt their head up or down to 15 degrees, but is there a convention... that say, the theater business uses for providing viewing angles to customers?

It seems to be a bit personal on what people like.

THX recommends you take your screen diagonal and divide by .84

So if you have a 104" screen, then they say sit at roughly 10 and a half feet away.

They also recommend not having to turn your head up more than 15-deg. So, from the front viewers eyes to the top of the TV shouldn't be more than a 15 degree angle.
