I got the TRIPPLITE 1000VA with lcd display to protect my home theater. Right now I have it plugged in the wall and am waiting for the battery to fully charge before I hook everything up to it. The LCD screen moves between 118-123 so is this normal for just being plugged into the wall? sorry I am not very educated in this kind of thing but I am learning a lot from this site.

electrical voltage from your power company easily varies + or - 5% throughout the day. It when the voltage drop exceeds about 8% to 9% that you are approaching "brownout" conditions and when it exceeds 120 VAC by 10% that you are in a surge condition.
