Read an interesting article in the WSJ this AM where the family of killed in action Russian soldier blames it all on 'America'. It really is amazing that here we are in the year 2022 and a country can be so isolated from the truth like Russia.
Hell, North Korea has been that way for 70 years.

I suppose listing all the criminal behaviour of Russian forces is becoming redundant, but this just makes me vibrate:
Ukraine farm thefts: Russians steal vast amounts of grain and equipment, threatening this year's harvest - CNN

They are just as bad as ISIS.
You said it perfect it makes you vibrate it makes my blood boil.

I hope I didn't come across wrong wanting to keep this thread on track but I just feel putting entire pages to political buffoons just completely overlooks the best point of this thread.

Which is to keep us aware of what the Ukranian people are going through right now. We can assign blame later but the Ukraine people and how we can help them are what our focus should be on right now.

I agree with you that there are no easy solutions to this. Putting boots on the ground may not be possible but there's no way in hell Putin should go unchecked for this.

And there's so many ways we can go about it most important is getting rid of our energy and infrastructure needs which tie us to Russia and China

The sanctions we've hit Russia with are important but we need to hit him in his privates where it really hurts. Hit him in his gas and oil revenue

I know it's impossible to do that overnight for our European neighbors but we can start working on getting the process started

In the Netherlands, the Russians smashed all cars with Ukrainian license plates, which were parked near the liner, which housed refugees from Mariupol

It happened in Rotterdam. It is said that there are a lot of police and a red cross on the spot. Mariupol residents say that this aggression is due to the fact that the Netherlands refused to serve Russian ships.

"Perhaps this is the best answer in the dispute whether only Putin is to blame for the war", — writes Andryushchenko, an adviser to the mayor.

There’s one important message from Zelenskyy, everyone around here can make a difference towards Ukraine:
All companies must leave russia from their market. Leave their market immediately because it is flooded with our blood. Consumers must boycott brands that refuse to pull out of russia

The russian occupiers bring a tyranny that does not allow any freedom. They want to apprehend Ukraine. They have been saying for a long time that Ukraine has no right to exist independently and they want to erase any mention of Ukraine culture, despite the fact that Ukraine culture has more than 1000-year-old roots

It is obvious that Russia's war against Ukraine is not just an attempt to seize one country and destroy life in it. This is an encroachment on freedom as such. That is why it is important for all free people of the world that Ukraine is not left alone in the confrontation with russia. It is important that every nation helps.

This year, we say "Never again" differently. We hear "Never Again" differently. It sounds painful, cruel. Without an exclamation, but with a question mark. You say: never again?

Our military and all our people are descendants of those who overcame nazism, so they will win again. And there will be peace again. We will overcome this winter which began on 24 February 24, lasts 8 May, but will definitely end, and the Ukrainian sun will melt it, we will meet our dawn together with the whole country, family and loved ones, friends and relatives will be together again.

Over the temporarily occupied cities and villages our flag will fly again, and we will get together, and there will be peace. And no more black and white dreams, only a blue and yellow dream. FINALLY AGAIN!

Our ancestors fought for this, eternal honour to all who fought against nazism.
Eternal memory to all those killed during world war II.

The first ladies of the USA and Ukraine visited Uzhgorod. Jill Biden and Elena Zelenskaya were in one of the city's schools, where there are now citizens who left their homes due to the fighting.

The visit of the wife of the President of the United States was not announced for security reasons. Biden has already left Ukraine.

Ukraine is apparently adding 3D printed tail fins to old anti-tank grenades to turn them into bombs and dropping them on tanks from drones:

>>>Videos recently released by Aerorozvidka show what appears to be the same, tail-finned explosives being dropped by drone before destroying armored vehicles with catastrophic explosions. . . . Weapons trackers following the conflict in Ukraine have identified the bomblets as modified Soviet-era RKG-3 anti-tank grenades with 3D-printed tail fins attached to stabilize their fall from drones.<<<

We are fighting for our children freedom, and therefore we will win. We will never forget what our ancestors did in the World War II, which killed more than eight million Ukrainians. Very soon there will be two Victory Days in Ukraine. And someone won't have any. We won then. We will win now. And Khreshchatyk will see the victory parade – the Victory of Ukraine!

Happy Victory over Nazism Day!
Glory to Ukraine!

Russia fires barrage of hypersonic missiles at Odesa after celebrating patriotic holiday | CBC News

...Ukrainian, British and American officials warn Russia is rapidly using up its stock of precision weapons and may not be able to quickly build more. That raises the risk of more imprecise rockets being used as the conflict grinds on, potentially resulting in more civilian deaths and other collateral damage.
I find this a bit ironic, as it looks like Russian "precision" weapons are doing a fine job of targeting civilians. Maybe if they use more "dumb" weapons it'll result in fewer civilian casualties.

Minister of foreign affairs Dmytro Kuleba said that if Ukraine wins the war, it would like to liberate all of its occupied territories.

“In the first months of the war, victory for us looked like the withdrawal of Russian troops to the positions they occupied until February 24, and retribution for the damage caused. Now, if we are strong enough on the military front and win the battle for Donbas, which will be decisive for the further dynamics of the war, then, of course, the victory for us in this war will be the liberation of the remaining territories,” – he said in an interview with the Financial Times.

According to Kuleba, only a military defeat of Russia can force it to unblock Ukrainian ports and restore the economy.

According to an article by the NYT, Russia basically has two types of weapons: dumb and dumber.

>>>Russian warplanes are generally flying 200 to 300 sorties each day, a senior Defense Department official told reporters during a briefing on Monday, but have failed to establish air superiority over Ukraine, which continues to fly its own fighters and attack jets against Russian troops. And as the war stretches into its third month, Russia has already expended many of its most accurate weapons, such as cruise missiles and both short- and medium-range ballistic missiles.

On May 2, the Pentagon said Russia had fired more than 2,125 such weapons since the invasion began. Their use dropped sharply after the second week of the war, Britain’s defense secretary, Ben Wallace, said in a speech on Monday.

The Russians “have blown through” many of their precision-guided munitions, said the senior U.S. official, who was not authorized to speak publicly on details of Russia’s shortcomings. “In fact, they continue to hit Mariupol with a lot of dumb bombs.”<<<
