Hell, one VTF15h mk2 would have a major advantage in output and extension over two S12EQs. A PB16-Ultra could match two VTF15h mk2s on deep bass, but not in midbass. It's a very nice sub though. Depends on what you mean by "better." In my opinion the VTF15h mk2 is a pretty well-rounded subwoofer. The only other ones I would even consider around the same ballpark pricing are the Monoprice Monolith 15" THX Ultra and Rythmik FV15HP. There is also the Outlaw Audio Ultra-X13 for a bit more. The SVS PC12-Ultra probably isn't bad either.
